And so my eyes were not clever enough. Ever get the feeling that you wasted a couple of hours looking for a quotation? :D

It beats work, I suppose...

Onwards Nilp, Rune hasn't been seen for a while. I hope he was not captured by Orcs on his adventures.

Nilpaurion Felagund 03-08-2006 04:06 AM

Bwahaha!

Well, a few minutes, I think. Blame the search forums function. ;)

Enedwaith . . .

You wouldn't believe this quote came from this person, I'm telling you. Well, at least, I don't.

Lhunardawen 03-08-2006 04:16 AM

Lindolirian in the Downs Photo Page thread.

I couldn't believe it the first time either. Nor until now, actually.

Nilpaurion Felagund 03-08-2006 04:24 AM

Daga!

*sigh*

Your thread. :p

Lhunardawen 03-08-2006 06:27 AM

Daga ka rin! :p

Have at it! Should be fairly easy if you know where to look...

Eonwe 03-12-2006 05:23 PM

Lhuna, how much are we allowed to use the search function? That seems a bit too much like cheating.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 03-13-2006 09:30 AM

If no-one has the answer after a good few days then I think it's permissable to do a search to keep the thread alive. Although that doesn't always work :o (see above).

Best to start by asking a clue.

Lhuna! Give us a clue!

Lhunardawen 03-15-2006 02:40 AM

Using the Search function is legal, people.

A clue? If you know this person's real life occupation you won't be amazed that he/she uttered these words at all. That's not much help, is it? :p

Glirdan 03-15-2006 08:56 AM

Oooo!! I think I just saw that post somewhere!!! Was it perhaps Estelyn or was it Enca??

JennyHallu 03-15-2006 09:27 AM

Sorry, Glirdy...

It was Celuien. On like the first page of the Novices and Newcomers thread, you sneaky little Lhuna.

Am I right?

Lhunardawen 03-16-2006 07:08 AM

Celuien yes, and N&N. "What do you assign to Mordor," to be precise.

Yours, Madame Hallu. ;)

Lhunardawen 03-22-2006 07:39 PM

*bump*

Jenny?

JennyHallu 03-22-2006 08:12 PM

JennyHallu 03-22-2006 08:39 PM

Take it away, my dear...

Lhunardawen 03-23-2006 04:25 AM

Thanks, Jenny.

Ah I remember..

This was TGWBS in the Typos/Freudian slip thread. He had been referred to the Guy who be Shot by Mr Ranger :D

Lhunardawen 03-23-2006 07:06 PM

Yours, Mithalwen. :)

Mithalwen 03-27-2006 05:59 AM

Mithalwen 03-27-2006 10:29 AM

Verily, over to you :D

The Only Real Estel 04-20-2006 10:38 AM

*Erm*
TGWBS...

mormegil 05-30-2006 06:53 PM

I'll just apply the 10 day rule.

Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why.

Not too difficult but it will get it going again.

Laiudanama 07-12-2006 04:24 AM

*Bump* I've no idea, but hoping someone will be able to revive the thread after a good two months of sitting...

mormegil 07-12-2006 04:51 AM

Fair enough...it was Garin. Now I will supply something that should be very easy.

And mormegil, I cry you mercy. I am your sword and namesake's twin brother, after all...

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-12-2006 12:35 PM

Is that Anguirel, by any chance?

mormegil 07-13-2006 12:36 PM

Yes in th efirst WW game. He was desperately attempting to get help. I've always remembered that line.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-13-2006 12:44 PM

Try my favourite signature on the Barrow-downs.

We are the Wargs. You will be enlightened. Resistance is futile.

Whose is it?

Bęthberry 07-13-2006 12:57 PM

To thyn own self be ...

Eomer, is it legit to offer one's own siggie?

Of course, I could be wrong and that wasn't yours. I remember seeing it and it does so sound like something you would use but am not 100% sure, so regard this more as a technical question, just so I can save face if I'm wrong. :D

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-13-2006 12:59 PM

No, never mine. I'm merely trying to raise awareness again. ;)

Gil-Galad 07-13-2006 01:26 PM

probaly Samwise then...

THE Ka 07-13-2006 01:50 PM

High King Fingolfin, I am guessing...

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-14-2006 11:20 AM

The Ka is korrect: High King Fingolfin it is!

THE Ka 07-14-2006 11:49 AM

Hmm, reading threads and signatures does pay off...

Anyways, I've looked at this one for awhile, and it never stops to make me smile. Whom does this lovely treasure belong to?

I saw a werewolf drinking a Pińa Colada at Trader Vic's. And his hair was perfect.

Feanor of the Peredhil 07-14-2006 11:56 AM

Celuien.

THE Ka 07-14-2006 03:59 PM

I was kind enough to use a sig rather than a snippet from an RPG. Wasn't that nice of me?

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-16-2006 08:51 AM

That is the signature of Sophia the Thunder Mistress.

It took me 18 guesses on the member list.

Feanor of the Peredhil 07-16-2006 09:50 AM

That it is, and how I miss her... On to you, m'love.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-16-2006 03:49 PM

Thank you kindly. I think you'll know where to search for this quotation. :D

"I seem to recall a reference in the Book of Extra-Lost Tales that there was an alliance between the Wargs and the Gondolindrim....the reason Gondolin fell was that the Wargs were delayed from coming to their assistance as they were guarding Elwing and Silmaril's journey to the sea. Earendil always held this against them, although it was entirely an accident, the fault of the forces of Morgoth, and it may explain Elrond's antipathy towards the Wargs...."

And please remember: don't neglect the old threads. ;)
