Samwise 03-31-2003 12:41 AM

Probably not....but
Sir Ian Holm?

Gorothlammothiel 03-31-2003 08:12 AM

Well done Rochelle has it. It was Sir Ian McKellen, and, for those of you which found the quote familiar, look up the foreward of the "Making of the Movie Trilogy" book if you can

Go ahead Rochelle!

Rochelle 03-31-2003 09:05 PM

Thank you!

Quote:

"It kept that relationship alive, because to some extent it was forgotten about."

Samwise 03-31-2003 09:58 PM

Um.....
Liv Tyler?

Rochelle 04-01-2003 12:29 PM

nope

Eruwen 04-01-2003 07:45 PM

Possibly John Rhys-Davies? I was thinking of Legolas and Gimli's friendship. It seems like I have heard that quote before, but I can't recall where.

Rochelle 04-01-2003 09:15 PM

It would make sense because Legolas and Gimli's relationship wasn't portrayed very well in the first DVD (it's better in the extended version) but it was not John Rhys-Davies

Samwise 04-01-2003 10:13 PM

Orlando Bloom, then?

Rochelle 04-02-2003 09:03 AM

No sorry, not Orlando either...but it is talking about a special relationship in the Lord of the Rings and not an outside one.

vanwalossien 04-02-2003 01:02 PM

Sean Astin?

Rochelle 04-02-2003 09:23 PM

not him either...I"m surprised there's not many people responding *lol*

vanwalossien 04-03-2003 03:14 AM

Elijah?

Rochelle 04-03-2003 11:48 AM

There we go *lol* finally! Yes it was Elijah talking about the relationship between Frodo and Merry/Pippin.

Eruwen 04-05-2003 09:31 AM

Out of the blue answer...just going with the voice of the Ent. John Rhys-Davies?

vanwalossien 04-05-2003 12:07 PM

Out of the blue, eh? Should've known that was too easy.. You go ahead

Eruwen 04-05-2003 08:47 PM

I got it? Really? That was a serious guess. Well, anyway, here's the next quote...

Quote:

"I balled my eyes out to Billy Elliot last week and Lighe (Elijah Wood) and I are gonna watch it again tonight. So I will keep you informed on the Wood waterworks."
Who is it? (Oh and by the way, I think this is a hint to the upcoming ROTK movie. Don't you think?)

Rochelle 04-05-2003 09:09 PM

How is this a hint?? Do tell

I'm going to go with Dom as the speaker.

Eruwen 04-05-2003 09:11 PM

As in it is going to be a real tear-dropper. I mean, the actors who filmed it cryed. They even knew what was going to happen. It's got to be good.

Oh, and you got it Rochelle. How is it that every quote I do is so easy? Oh well. Your turn.

Rochelle 04-05-2003 09:24 PM

*lol* Billy Elliot is a movie about a boy wanting to become a dancer...I think what the quote was talking about was that they cried while they watched it, and were going to watch it again

Let's see...for my quote..

Quote:

"The shoot was so long that during filming I didn't always pay attention to exactly what the finished product would look like. I had very high expectations but it was far more beautiful than even I had anticipated."

Samwise 04-05-2003 11:22 PM

Hm. Sounds like a director, sort of...but as usual I have no clue. Sean Astin?

Eruwen 04-06-2003 01:26 PM

Oh, Rochelle, see I thought Billy Eliot was just another person with them. I get it now. Nevermind about the whole ROTK thing. Anyway, I agree with Samwise about the director thing so I'm going to go with Peter Jackson?

Rochelle 04-06-2003 01:45 PM

*lol* honest mistakes, I have never seen the movie, but perhaps now I will

And no, it's neither Sean nor PJ.

Eruwen 04-06-2003 01:53 PM

Elijah Wood? Now that I think about it, it seems I've heard it before. Possibly from the Ext DVD?

Gorothlammothiel 04-06-2003 02:37 PM

Viggo Mortensen? It doesn't so much sound like something he would say about the shooting being so long, but being more "beautiful than he ever anticipated" sounds a lot like something he would say.

Rochelle 04-06-2003 02:53 PM

Nope, it's neither Elijah nor Viggo.

Keep guessing!

vanwalossien 04-07-2003 06:03 AM

Ian McKellen?
Quote:

I have never seen the movie, but perhaps now I will
You should, it's a great movie. I can imagine Elijah and Dom crying like babies..

elven maiden Earwen 04-07-2003 07:54 AM

liv or cate??

Rochelle 04-07-2003 08:02 AM

Yep! It is indeed Liv Tyler. She's one of my all time favorite actresses *lol*

Your go!

elven maiden Earwen 04-07-2003 08:05 AM

Quote:

One night Legolas, Aragorn and Gilmli had early calls for a dawn shoot of them running across the plain, so we all decided to camp out. We went fishing, built a fire pit, roasted some steaks and just had this lovely evening out under the stars. Producer Barrie Osborne sat around telling tales of The Cotton Club. I think for me, looking round that fireplace, that was the most cherished memory of the whole production.

vanwalossien 04-07-2003 02:05 PM

*drumroll* I know this. It's Karl Urban. So I'm not the only one who reads Empire?
I'm actually sure I'm right, so I'll just go on.
Quote:

Even though it's one of the biggest films ever made, it felt like a small independent film in a way

Eruwen 04-07-2003 04:20 PM

Are you sure it was Karl Urban? I've heard that before on tv or my DVD and I thought it was Dom who said it. But anyway, to guess your quote...was it PJ?

Samwise 04-07-2003 05:51 PM

I'll just go with my standard answer, since it DOES sound like a director:
Sean Astin?

Eressië Ailin 04-07-2003 06:19 PM

What about 'Lij?

vanwalossien 04-08-2003 10:21 AM

Yep, I'm sure. It's from the January 2003 issue of Empire.
And no one's right yet, keep guessing.

Rochelle 04-08-2003 11:27 AM

I've been pondering...and maybe it's Orlando Bloom?

Samwise 04-08-2003 10:04 PM

John Rhys-Davies?

Eärendil 04-09-2003 02:32 AM

Liv Tyler

vanwalossien 04-09-2003 12:19 PM

Correct, it was Liv.

Who is saying this, and who is the person speaking of?
I will be away for over a week now, and no Internet (sigh), so I decided I will leave it to Samwise (if she wants to take care of it, that is.)
Samwise, check your PM´s.
