Guinevere 12-14-2005 03:45 PM

N please

mormegil 12-14-2005 05:15 PM

Rune Son of Bjarne 12-14-2005 05:17 PM

I would prefer O's if you don't mind?

luthien-elvenprincess 12-14-2005 07:33 PM

And I would like H, please.

Firefoot 12-14-2005 08:17 PM

And R's, please.

mormegil 12-15-2005 12:08 AM

HOWL RANT

"--t/--/th-r-/ar-/-an-/o-/th---/r----an-,/(...)/-t/w-ll/--rta-nl-/--an/---ht-n-./-o-/won't/r-----/lotho,/o-/t--/-h-r-,/---t/--/---n-/-ho----/an-/-a-,/--/--ar/-ro-o."

Guinevere 12-15-2005 04:22 AM

not difficult anymore now:

"But if there are many of these ruffians," said Merry, "it will certainly mean fighting. You won't rescue Lotho, or the Shire, just by being shocked and sad, my dear Frodo."

mormegil 12-15-2005 07:57 AM

Correct. A rather hilarious line from Merry.

Guinevere 12-16-2005 01:05 PM

Sorry for the delay!

"----/ -------/! ---/ ---/ ---/! -------/ --------/ ---/ ------/ --/ ---/ ----/, ---------/ -------/ ----/ ------/ ---/ -------/ ---/ -------/! ---/ ------/ -------/ ---/ --/ ----/ ----/ ---------/, ---/ ------/ ---/ --------/ ----/ ---/ -----/ ---/ ----------/ ----/ -------/."

mormegil 12-16-2005 01:15 PM

It's okay your quote is a promising one that will more than make up for the delay.

Let's start with a good old "A" please

I had a question for all, how do you feel about capitilization in the quotes? Should we capitalize all proper names? Or does that make it too easty at times?

Guinevere 12-16-2005 02:13 PM

Funny you should ask this, Mormegil, I have been thinking about this right now ! When you look at the very start of this game (in 2002) you see that we used to write the whole quotes in Capital letters up until page 10, then suddenly people started writing "normal", and from the end of 2003, it was suddenly no more possible to write whole words in capital letters. (they turned into small letters when you posted) But apparently it can be done now again, (as I see in the "anagrams")
There are many good quotes I haven't used because there were proper names in them.... ;)

"----/ --A----/! -A-/ ---/ A--/! -------/ --------/ A--/ ------/ --/ ---/ -A--/, ---------/ -A-----/ ----/ ------/ A--/ -------/ ---/ A------/! ---/ --A---/ -------/ ---/ --/ --A-/ ----/ --A------/, A--/ ------/ -A-/ --A-----/ ----/ ---/ -----/ A--/ ----------/ ----/ -------/."

mormegil 12-16-2005 02:24 PM

I would propose that you capitilize the start of a scentence but leave proper names in lower case to add a degree of difficulty. Otherwise some words become too obvious.

Any thoughts?

"D" please

Guinevere 12-16-2005 02:50 PM

DA

"---D/ --A----/! -A-/ ---/ A--/! -------/ --------/ A-D/ ------/ --/ ---/ DA--/, ---------/ -A-----/ ----/ --D---/ A-D/ -------/ ---/ A------/! ---/ --A---/ -------/ ---/ --/ --AD/ ----/ --A-D----/, A-D/ ------/ -A-/ --A-----/ ----/ A-D/ -----/ A-D/ ----------/ ----/ -------/."

Firefoot 12-16-2005 02:52 PM

If you want to put it in all caps inside quotes, I realized that you just have to make the [QUOTE] lowercase: [quote]. I would say that whether we do it this way or just leaving proper names lowercase is up to the individual, but I agree that one of the two ways whould probably be used.

N's?

Guinevere 12-16-2005 03:07 PM

DAN
Quote:

Thanks for the hint, Firefoot! Frankly, I am puzzled by this system... sometimes it allows me to use caps, and sometimes it doesn't.

mormegil 12-16-2005 03:11 PM

"T" would be helpful.

Glad to know that people don't get miffed by me not capitalizing words. :)

Guinevere 12-16-2005 03:42 PM

mormegil 12-16-2005 03:52 PM

"E" please

Firefoot 12-16-2005 03:55 PM

R's?

I think the caps/no caps has something to do with the system trying to prevent regular posts accidentally posted in all caps lock. It's really weird though.
