Is it the swan ship Galadriel uses in Farewell to Lorien?

Pitchwife 06-21-2011 07:44 AM

It is indeed! Well done, Mith! Over to you.

Mithalwen 06-21-2011 10:37 AM

Nice choice! Hmm something simple this time for me I think. Okies off you go...

LadyBrooke 06-21-2011 01:07 PM

Galadriel55 06-21-2011 02:09 PM

So it's not an immaterial concept which also happens to be both a place and a life-form?:p

No, don't count that one. Something different - Is it green?

Mithalwen 06-21-2011 04:40 PM

Person? No
Thing? Ummmmmm I suppose you could call it that ...most things are things
Immaterial concept also place and life form? No but on elements you might get one or two out of three!

Green ., yes!

Galadriel55 06-21-2011 05:18 PM

Is it a plant?

(By "thing" I meant object. Should have been more specific, but... whatever.)

Mithalwen 06-21-2011 05:27 PM

It isn't a plant and it isn't an object

LadyBrooke 06-21-2011 06:06 PM

Place?

Mithalwen 06-21-2011 06:09 PM

Yes a place.

LadyBrooke 06-21-2011 08:22 PM

Forest?

Galadriel55 06-21-2011 09:14 PM

Grassland?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 02:40 AM

Grassland/Forest ? Is neither has both to a point.

Tuor in Gondolin 06-22-2011 07:12 AM

Is it in Aman?

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 07:46 AM

The corollaire?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 08:49 AM

No and so no....

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 10:32 AM

Is it a country (eg Gondor)?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 11:07 AM

Not a country

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 11:35 AM

A region?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 11:43 AM

Region no...

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 12:01 PM

In ME?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 02:27 PM

Very much so ....

LadyBrooke 06-22-2011 02:40 PM

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 02:45 PM

Hey, that was my answer! Don't tell me that Mith used it!

Erm, um, a city/town?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 02:46 PM

I wouldn't go back to that! It isn't a tricksy one honest.

Pitchwife 06-22-2011 02:53 PM

Hmm... so it's a place more closely circumscribed than a country or region, right?
Did Elves ever dwell there?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 03:00 PM

Not that is recorded to my knowledge. And your assumption is correct.

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 03:11 PM

So is it a city/town?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 03:14 PM

Strictly speaking it is the location of a city/town but that is a fine distinction so effectively yes.

Tuor in Gondolin 06-22-2011 03:38 PM

Is it Tharbad?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 03:48 PM

Nope

Pitchwife 06-22-2011 03:54 PM

Hm, I think we'll have to tackle this the old-fashioned way.
North of the White Mountains?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 03:57 PM

Oh Pitch and your green was so inspired,... there have been answers with all salient elements just not right option.... yes noth of White Mountains.

LadyBrooke 06-22-2011 05:56 PM

South of Dol Guldur?

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 06:05 PM

West of Misty Mtns?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 08:54 PM

Not South of Dol Guldur
Yes West of the Misty Mountains,

LadyBrooke 06-22-2011 09:09 PM

Do hobbits live there?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 09:14 PM

No not the Shire - if you misses my answer to Pitch it is smaller than a country and no Elves. She Shire is a country IMO and I would have hesitated to say now Elves because of WoodyEnd - a permanent temporary Elf residence!

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 09:21 PM

*sighs* "Green" was the most random question ever, but the best one yet!...

Was it populated/inhabited by people at the time of the War of the Ring?
