Which is why I deleted The Shire? and posted a new question a few minutes before your answer...we seem to have cross posted though, so I'll ask my question again.

Did hobbits live there?

Thinking of a more specific place, like Hobbiton or Bree and not the general Shire/Countryside.....

Galadriel55 06-22-2011 09:45 PM

The field where the Party Tree stood?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 09:49 PM

Not the Party field.

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 09:50 PM

Sorry I didnt see.

Yes Hobbits live there.

LadyBrooke 06-22-2011 09:55 PM

It's fine. :D I miss posts all the time...and on one of the other forums I'm on, there isn't the handy Active Topics list, so you have to open every section and look for new posts. I managed to miss on topic three days in a row....

Did humans also live there?

Mithalwen 06-22-2011 09:58 PM

Well it is a bit sneaky to change posts after I have started replying.... and you have been nasty about Hugo-Elrond again..don't think I don't notice!!!!

Yes Humans live there.

LadyBrooke 06-22-2011 10:01 PM

:p...if it makes you feel better, it's not Hugo I have a problem with - I have the utmost respect for his acting abilities, and feel he did the best he could with the script. And the costume design isn't his fault either. I have problems with PJ....

Is it Bree?

Mithalwen 06-23-2011 03:13 AM

Yes but I was thinking of the hill rather than the town hence the green and forest (Chetwood) and grassland. But being a language pedant I decided not to insist on the tautologous Bree-hill.

Hmmm ok....I'll forgive you but references like "ugly old elf" are liable to set me off... :p And considering what they were considering for his father of the bride up do he got let off lightly ...

Any way off you go!

LadyBrooke 06-23-2011 10:35 AM

I know...that father of the bride thing is just...

Alright, I'm ready. :D...and thank you for not insisting on Bree-hill.
