Are you a mind reader, Rune.? Yes you are right.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-16-2005 12:22 PM

Maybe I am a mind reader, but it is really non of your buisness what I do with my own time! ! !

Ok then give me an aka for Quick-beam

Dimturiel 11-16-2005 12:33 PM

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-16-2005 01:09 PM

Dimturiel 11-16-2005 01:24 PM

Indeed it was!
The Kindler.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-16-2005 02:24 PM

Tricky one. . .

If I say Varda, you say ?

NightKnight 11-16-2005 03:35 PM

Or perhaps Elbereth?

Dimturiel 11-17-2005 01:15 PM

I am afraid to say that you are both wrong.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-17-2005 01:20 PM

is it because you at looking for the name Tintallë ?

Dimturiel 11-17-2005 01:24 PM

No, I am looking for something else.

Gothmog 11-17-2005 01:58 PM

I'm going for the only left (I think): Elentari?

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-17-2005 01:59 PM

The only one I know of who has that name is Varda and the only name I have not used is Elentári - Queen of the Stars.

oh. maybe you meant I was totaly wrong ! If it is so you force me to take wild guesses ! (trust me they will keep coming until I get it right)

Dimturiel 11-17-2005 02:19 PM

Elentari it is. Well done, Gothmog. Well done Rune, too, but alas you were too late.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-17-2005 02:30 PM

arrgh, I realy must learn to reply faster!

I allways use 5-10 min. because I have to check the books for other posebiletys!

I feel like weeping :(

Gothmog 11-17-2005 03:10 PM

Oh, that was your answer, Rune. You eliminated all other possibilities, and I just used the opportunity. Sorry!

I don't know about this question, but I wouldn't consider it easy if I didn't know the answer. But at the same time, there's much more Tolkien-educated people than me here... I want an other name for:

Mámandil

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-17-2005 03:41 PM

good one Gothmog and yes it was my answer ;)

The name you are looking for is Hallacar

Gothmog 11-17-2005 04:10 PM

Too easy for you? What is not? ;)

But the thread is yours, comrade. Go Denmark! :D

YAY! Complimets, just what I needed after being made fun of by The 1,000 Reader for my bad grammar!

Altáriel

Gothmog 11-17-2005 04:45 PM

I read that post and you almost deserved it :p

Altariel is the Quenya word for Galadriel, the name Celeborn gave her.

But now I'm going to bed, so if I'm right you'll all have to wait until tomorrow I'm afraid. The problem with time zones...

WOW, I just realized I'm a Shade of Carn Dum nowadays! Cool!

Hey I was in a hurry and it was late. . . (plus I have allways been bad to these kind of things in danish. Imagine how difficult it is for me in english) :p

Your absolutely correct Gothmog, but it is not the answer I am looking for. . .

Dimturiel 11-18-2005 11:26 AM

Then maybe you are looking for Artanis.

Gothmog 11-18-2005 12:14 PM

Or maybe Nerwen?

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-18-2005 07:14 PM

Artanis it was. . .

your turn Dimturiel

Dimturiel 11-19-2005 08:56 AM

Thank you. :)
Lorien

Gothmog 11-19-2005 09:20 AM

Irmo?

Dimturiel 11-19-2005 09:23 AM

Nope. And I am thinking about the place.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-19-2005 09:24 AM

tricky one. . .

Dwimordene

Dimturiel 11-19-2005 09:28 AM

Not that tricky, it seems. You got it right.

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-19-2005 09:34 AM

I thought it was tricky because it could be the place or the valar. . .

btw it was pure luck! I had just been reading Gandalf's Song of Lorien, when i desited to look at the quiz room. :)

Khazad-dűm

Dimturiel 11-19-2005 09:46 AM

The Dwarrowdelf?

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-19-2005 09:57 AM

WOW I did not think that would be your first guess, but it is still wrong !

very close though . . .

Dimturiel 11-19-2005 01:00 PM

Moria, then?

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-19-2005 01:04 PM

No.

the first was very close. . .

Dimturiel 11-19-2005 01:24 PM

Are you thinking of Hadhodrond?

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-19-2005 01:30 PM

uh it looks like we are going to get thru all the names

I could give a hint if you want, allthough I dont know how much it will help.

(No it is not what I am thinking about)

Gil-Galad 11-19-2005 01:37 PM

well theres ... The Black Chasm, The Black Pit, Phurunargian

the ones that haven't been said...

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-19-2005 01:50 PM

Hey you have just spoiled my fun ! ! !

It was Phurunargian the Westron name for Khazad-dűm, usually anglicised to
Dwarrowdelf. <-----------------------Thats why you were close Dimturiel

Gil-Galad 11-19-2005 01:55 PM

Druedain

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-19-2005 02:28 PM

Rune Son of Bjarne 11-26-2005 11:03 AM
