Black owns blonde any day.
Strikes me as a stupid, random change by PJ: meaningless, not really any great effect, but still stupid anyway.

quote:
don't you think you're being a little nitpicky?

If you want nitpicky, here goes:
Theatrical Aragorn: "What do your Elf-eyes see?"
Theatrical Legolas: "They're taking the hobbits Northeast to Isengard!"
For the Uruk-hai to be taking the hobbits NORTH-EAST, they would have to have been some hundred miles south of Dunland. However they were busy headed West across Rohan. Keen Elven inner compasses? I think not.
Fea

quote:
Theatrical Legolas: "They're taking the hobbits Northeast to Isengard!"

Yes! I'm not the only one who noticed that! My friends just look at me strangely when I point that out.
I do think this thing about Faramir's hair is a tad nitpicky, though.

So now we're into our second page of discussion about the fact that film Faramir's hair is different in colour to that of book Faramir.
Only on the Downs.

quote:
Strikes me as a stupid, random change by PJ

Like I said before, I don't think it was to random. I think he changed the hair color to bring out the brotherly look between Boromir & Faramir.

quote:
I do think this thing about Faramir's hair is a tad nitpicky, though.

It's a good subject (although maybe not for discussion here ), because all the other changes to Faramir makes his hair color look very minor indeed, perhaps a bit nitpicky. But when you think about it, to change the hair color of a rather major character isn't really nitpicking :/. Anyways, I only started this thread because it seemed to me that in all the other changes to Faramir that people were talking about, this one got lost (not to be to nitpicky). As I said before, though, I never even caught the change, so I can't complain to much here .

Exactly; a random change, considering Boromir's ahir is raven too, so it's random to make it blonde.
