meh close enough
"Look Mr.Frodo, its Mr.Bilbos trolls...you know the ones in his stories" |
This is supposed to be True or False, so the question should be one to which the answer is either "true" or "false". For further clarification, check out the game rules on page one (as expanded by my first post).
Yah, I was wondering about that question...in that case I say that it was true, Sam did say that. :D
my bad..exams got me a little day-dreaming..anyway Lindir you can go
Thanx ;)
Exams? Bleh! :p Here goes: "Somebody help me!" (It's in the Hobbit v.g.) |
How is that a true or false question???
Sorry.. i'm thinking of another thread. The videogame quote thread...sorry  silly me..
anyway....here goes: True or false: Eowyn stabs the witchking in the chest. |
false she stabs gim in the face
yes....simple,simple.
Your turn :p |
ok
(true or false) Arwen got a scratch on her left cheek in the fellowship. |
False- it was on her right cheek.
way to go,your turn.
Cheers, wilwarin538.
True or false: Gil-galad was seen commanding the Elvish forces in Mordor at the start of FotR. |
I think false, I thought they showed Elrond doing it?
I think its true
I don't think it's true....perhaps in the EE? I've seen a pic of Gil-Galad somewhere, from the movies...but I'm not sure.
its true and i should no! you can see me impaleing an orc with my spear on a small ridge
Kath's got it, it was false. Even though you can see Gil-galad somewhere in the scene, it's Elrond who's seen giving orders to the Elves.
Oh good! I was getting a bit worried there with all the answers.
True or false: It was Arwen that made Elrond reforge the shards of Narsil. |
true
Yep, your turn.
<applies 10-day-plus rule>
Alrighty, since Wilwa's aparantly forgotten about this thread, here's a new one:
True or false: At Weathertop, Aragorn sets fire to one of the Nazgul after Frodo is stabbed by the Witch-King. |
True, and he runs off screaming with his arms in the air.
Good, Abercrombie. <mutters> I knew that was too easy.... Anywhee, your go!
<bump>
Abercrombie?
Whoops sorry! Forgot about this thread.
True or False: Farmer Maggot appears in the movie. |
True: you hear his dogs and only see his pitchfork, but hes there...
True. He was the poor hobbit that one of the Nazgul decapitated. Poor guy.
Gil-Gald's right its true, but neither of you have found the place where they actually show him in the movie. But since I didn't specify that you needed that go ahead gil-galad.
k...
There were alot of characters that were mentioned in the books, but were never mentioned in the movies, but if yo ulook closely you can see them True or False: Beregond talks in the movie |
Eeek! I truly have no idea, but.... Wild guess: False?
nope he talks! sorry!
As I said, 'twas a wild guess. But now you've given it away, so you must think up another, "Sugar.";):p
Hold up!
Gil-Galad, Beregond is not listed as a character on IMDb and a quick Google search turned up no reference to him as being a character in the film. Are you sure that he was a named speaking character?
ah but he was...
http://minas.mythicdesigns.net/rotk/beregond/12.jpg sorry for the size, but Ian Hughes plays beregond, though his name wasn't mentioned, i have found little things stating that he was (LOTR TCG for example) |
According to IMDb (and as confirmed by some of the film threads here on the Downs), that character is named Irolas.
Is he now? i'm pretty sure i saw him being mentioned as Beregond... well i know the actor that played Beregond, Ian Hughes, it was stated in quite a bit of minor LOTR movie fan sites
Well they were wrong. According to IMDb, the chaaracter was orginally to be named Beregond, but they changed the name to Irolas post-production. It seems he was meant to be Beregond's brother.
That makes it elronds_daughter's turn by my reckoning. |
Oops!
OH NO!!! It was my turn earlier and I missed it! :(  I can't believe I forgot about this thread. Well I guess I'll have to get the next question then.
