Tar-ancalime... you're good. I've been trying to remember that title for DAYS. I think it got mysteriously blocked by the sane part of my mind that knew that it would be better for my mental well-being that I NOT remember. ;) Boy did I hate that book. I'll allow that my prejudice against the teacher may very well have soured me before I even began to read it... But still.

My mom is one such teacher who plans to teach an 'optional' class on Tolkien starting this year. It won't actually be 'teaching', more like discussing certain topics, kind of like we do on this forum. Anyway, I'm sure a few of the kids at school could teach mom a thing or too about Middle Earth, since she's only read LOTR and is currently struggling through the Silm. Needless to say only those who are interested will join this class, and to the principal and the parents it's a way of the children improving their English. Hopefully it will work out fine.
