THE Ka 09-22-2006 02:28 PM

I'm most likely going to have to vote the night before as well. I'm always living a few hours in the past... and Pacific...

Folwren 09-22-2006 05:51 PM

12 noon EST works for me, definitely.

...What have the musicians got to do with anything? I'll think one up to send you but....why? (You know, I was on a discussion board (about horse training) where they used TONS of periods. Like this....they would like....break up their sentences in totally random....places....like....they didn't know what to type so they just typed a few periods and then figured out the word they were looking for....I guess. I'm serious!)(And, yes, that was random, but this seems like a better place to put random stuff than on the RPG forums. . . )

I would also have to vote the night before. Work.

Why to change a working time? There was not any majority protesting you on the earlier one, or was there?

But I surely could cope with that too, if that is the question...

Sleepy Ranger 09-23-2006 12:27 AM

I had to change the time because I can't make the deadline if it's 9pm GMT. Latest I can manage is 6pm GMT. :)

Thinlómien 09-23-2006 03:03 AM

I would love 4 PM GMT; I wouldn't have to vote but two hours erly or something. Yep, that definately suits me fine. (Though I will probably always show up on the altter half of the day, but I guess it's much better than the earlier half of the day....)

Heh, I've been on boards like that as well. Anyway, since the game is following a musical theme (Battle of the Bands) I thought it would be fun to write in the death scenes with a flavor from the selected band/artist. Maybe a few parodies as well. :)

Oh and I still require a band/singer from-

Glirdan
Macalaure
Diamond18
Thinlomien
Eonwe
Nogrod
Rune

Sleepy Ranger 09-25-2006 12:15 PM

If it's fine with everyone I hope to begin tomorrow. :)

Thinlomien and Nogrod, still need a band/singer from you two.

Great!

If you're starting the Night phase today, I'm fine with that. If it's the Day phase, please wait till tomorrow!!

Harrah! When and where?

Can I please have a name? And if I get a name, my name also needs an occupation. It's a tradition for me to have the same name and occupation in these games and in Mafia. Please?

-- Folwren

Sleepy Ranger 09-26-2006 12:26 PM

When and where? Free time and area, think of it as a secluded region though technically everyones occupation in the game is 'musician' since it is a Battle of the Bands.

Volo 09-26-2006 12:38 PM

Are we allowed to use the name of the musician? :D

Sleepy Ranger 09-26-2006 12:50 PM

Go ahead and do so. :)
I'm afraid the opening of the game will have to be pushed back to tomorrow due to some unforseen events. If you'd like I can send out the roles now and you can treat this period as the night phase till the deadline tomorrow.

Volo 09-26-2006 12:56 PM

Oh sorry, I said it badly, I think. I mean, can we use the name of the musician in the game, if this is sc. RPG-style WW.

Fex. John Lennon sat down on a bucket and said: "I suspect David Bowie, his hair is green!"

Sleepy Ranger 09-26-2006 01:07 PM

No, In Character posts are not necessary but if you wish to I have no objection to people posting In Character.

Again, it's not the rule but your own preference. :)

I'd much rather not do it RPG style. It'd be much harder to write like that and keep from lying blatantly. I mean, when one's a wolf, it's hard enough to have to tell lies constantly in just regular talking, but if you wrote in RPG style, I'd be tempted to put my thoughts and feelings into it and if I happened to be a wolf....

Sleepy, I should have written yesterday when I first saw your post, but I move to get our roles now and treating this as the first night. . .well, that is, if the first night only entails in killing the mod. I've not been around for a loooooooong time, so I'm not sure anymore what the proceeds of the game are.

What time have you decided the dead line is going to be?

-- Folwren

Sleepy Ranger 09-27-2006 09:05 AM

Roles have been sent out. If you haven't recieved yours that means you are an innocent. Also note, the mytho has not been informed of what they are yet. They will be told on the second night when they are to choose. So yes, it could be any of you. Treat this as the start of night, I shall have the first post up soon.

Sleepy Ranger 09-28-2006 07:03 AM

I'm sorry but due to unavoidable circumstances I'll have to push the deadline back an hour just for today. So the Day will start at 1pm EST and end 1pm EST tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience.

No great inconvenience, I'm sure, except for having to wait another hour to begin. But I guess I'll survive till then. :p (May not survive past then, though. . . )

Sleepy Ranger 09-28-2006 11:03 AM

Day has started, the sun has risen! You may start posting now. Remember to turn on invisible mode. :)

Thinlómien 09-29-2006 06:26 AM

You won't be hearing much from me on Day Two since I will have problems getting online (overnight guests, art/drawing/painting/whatever club). :(

In the same post I'd like to inform those who don't know yet that I don't have a net access home, so I won't be posting as much as normally. (As much as in the previous game, though, and I guess that wasn't so little... :))

Rune Son of Bjarne 09-29-2006 06:26 AM

I really do have a job interview and I really did only just recive the phone call.
I am writting it here so there be no doubt about wether it is true or not.

Macalaure 09-29-2006 11:09 AM

Since I'm not at home over the weekend, I probably won't be around much on Day 2. :(

Sleepy Ranger 09-29-2006 12:54 PM

The deadline reverts to normal time from now on. Night 1 will end (and Day 2 will begin) at noon EST tomorrow. :)

And that means being one hour earlier than toDay, right?

Sleepy Ranger 09-29-2006 01:01 PM

Yes, one hour earlier.

I read that and could only think about Robert's face, scrunched up and giving a glare to Morrissey. :p

It was just too funny to pass up.

Durelin 09-29-2006 04:45 PM

And I must say I was tempted to change mine to Morrissey looking bizarre...well, just...the Moz... :p

Rune Son of Bjarne 10-01-2006 07:05 AM

TGWBS will end the day as Sleepy will not be around for the deadline.

(I might add that I am having troubles even posting at the Downs, it keeps cracking when I try to look at past pages)

THE Ka 10-01-2006 09:23 AM

Due to family issues, I will not be able to vote in time today, and will not be around for the first few hours of day 3. I am sorry for this inconvience, and if there is a course of action to be suggested for this, I understand. Sorry again.

Me too, either that or I cannot view any pages past the forum's main page... :( Hopefully this clears.

Sincerely,

Ka

Celuien 10-01-2006 09:31 AM

Umm...I thought Day ended at noon. It's only 11:30.

the guy who be short 10-01-2006 09:39 AM

I was pretty sure Sleepy said 4pm BST, but peer pressure says 5pm BST. So I'll let you carry on for half an hour more until 5pm BST / noon EST.

Celuien 10-01-2006 09:40 AM

Thanks!

Boromir88 10-01-2006 09:42 AM

I think due to the internet difficulty some are experiencing with the Downs, the day should perhaps even expand, if possible.

We have been having trouble posting, I had a post, with my vote up, but then just shut down again.

There has been technical difficulties expressed by many (now it seems the site is working though), and if at all possible I would actually like to see if an expansion is possible to let everyone around to get a chance to vote. As clearly we only have what...4 or 5 votes? There has been technical difficulties which has made this whole day hard and nearly impossible for posting.

Glirdan 10-01-2006 09:58 AM

I must personally agree with Boro on this. I've been trying (and vainly for quite sometime) trying to get on. The forum was down for most of the night and that's when a lot of people do talking. So I think we should extend it, even though this is the only post I'll be making for awhile.

Glirdan 10-01-2006 10:06 AM

So what's the verdict?

the guy who be short 10-01-2006 10:20 AM

Day has ended at the normal time.

I understand it's been difficult with the problems the Downs has had today, but it comes down to the game belonging to Sleepy, not me. I don't want to change something and then inconvenience him later.

I agree fully!

I made a post last night (my time) on Celuien also but that never got through. And Mac's post that is after mine in the thread is almost half an hour earlier. This morning the Downs just didn't open. I tried it for 4 hours before I had to go to the choir training session - and taking account of my sleeping time, it seems that the Downs were down about 9 hours or something in here...

Surely, what's done is done and can't be reverted, but anyhow. When such things occur the next time, let's have a more lenient policy and give people time to take part and vote!

PS. Lommy wasn't present during the Day as I called her to tell that the Downs was down by the time she would have had a chance to pop up in my place to make her contribution...
