Done. But it is no masterpiece and I was drawing it in the school library so some people will probably look at me oddly from now on... (The expressions when people happened to glance at my computer screen were hilarious... :D;))

To Delay The Threatening PMs...
I lost my sketchbook, and cannot find it... I will try to find it soon, but if I don't find it I guess I'll just have to draw it on printer paper or something...
I'll try to get it in by Friday. |
Microsoft Paint is where it's at. :smokin:

Ugh, same here! I've never been able to find a left-handed mouse. Though, the touch pad is definately time saving and amazing, but it can take some time getting used to. (It can be a bit... touchy. Har har.). ~ Ka |
Okay, I seem not to understand a few things in here but even with the risk of looking like an idiot I'm going to ask this as drawing things with a mouse is just so annoying and any better idea into using the Paint would be welcome.
So what is this talk about left-handed mouses? A joke I don't get or something I know nothing about? I'm a left hander too but have no idea how "a left handed mouse" would change anything. I can move the mouse to left side of the keyboard to use my left hand in drawing and clicking the left-button is no harder than clicking the right one. As the question can't be of that, then what is it? |
Anyway, if you go to your computer's control panel, you can switch the button functions so that it is effectively a left-handed mouse.

But I will have my picture sent to Hookbill soon! |

Anyone of you wishing to tell an old-timer what is it you're talking about? :) |

Yes, it's an old Indian trick. My grandfather taught it to me. I can also show you how to build a fire in the snow and stalk a deer.
|
Please don't teach it to Nogrod. Otherwise I'll never be able to use his computer again... :(;):D

What I myself mentioned earlier was more on the lines of this. |
It's hard at first to become used to, but it definately is a great improvement for my wrist though. Kajunamik, Gwath!:)
Just wish that my mouse would curve with my left hand, but oh well. ~ Ka |
:)

.............what does that word mean?

Oh yeah, I sent Hookbill my picture, I hope he does not puke!

I was spending too much time studying inuit and Duncan Pryde that day. Oh, also, I've finally sent in my contribution. It didn't go exactly as I expected, so if there's a need to see the original just let me know. :( ~ Ach! Ka |
Well... Here we go... This makes very little sense. But I think it's funny. And if you do to, then that's what counts! :D
http://i38.tinypic.com/11r3pdd.jpg I always thought that part of the challenge was to have everyone drawing seemingly random panels and the mod has to try and attach some meaning to it. But the results, as we have seen, can be very baffling. Would you prefer a definite story? Or maybe have it split into teams; three to do the start of the story, three to do the middle and three to do the end? All collaborating with each other, but the teams being sort of independent thus retaining something of the challenge? Or maybe just teams writing any part they want and therefore the challenge is arranging each teams' work? Thoughts? |
As you say: baffling. There does not seem to be any discernible progression between the panels, except perhaps in location.
|
Now we have to guess the artists. :)
|
This is rather mad. :D Could you, Hookbill, though, tell us what the texts in THE Ka's picture (here starts the guessing, Gwath ;)) say? I can't read them...

Anyway, I think these are the artists; Aganzir, Volo, Gwathagor, the phantom, A Little Green, TheGreatElvenWarrior (With some help, no doubt, from TheQuiteGoodElvenWarrior) Nogrod, Oddwen, Thinlomine Legate, THE Ka, THE End. |
As for me, I had one idea what could be done to make the game work better, when I was drawing my picture, and it seemed good to me. Unfortunately, I forgot it. :D
I think it was something like that everybody could draw two pictures to maintain some continuity (the pictures will be then distributed randomly, could be following each other, but normally they should not), or be given a random picture to see for inspiration or something. I don't know. If I remember the exact idea of what I had in mind, I will post it here. |
Three comments:
1. That comic makes no sense whatever... but I guess that was the idea? 2. I have no idea what the point of the "left-handed mouse" thing is. It's just as easy to use a normal, non-switched mouse with your left hand (as I do, and I work in computer graphics). 3. Drawing with the mouse takes practice, though. If you're frustrated, and feel like spending money, try a graphics tablet. A lot of artists use them (but not me, so I can't recommend a brand). |
I really like Gandalf's stockings, Oddwen. Then again, they're pink, so it must therefore be Saruman. Only someone that twisted could pull off that colour. :p
A Little Green's 'Boo!' man reminds me of the comic toothpaste for dinner.:D I was really worried once I had it scanned and modified, since it looked pretty snarky on paper and then makes no sense at 200 pix. Then again, the mad party bit does make sense, and I like the mystery of it. Here's the original, I really need to work on keeping things simple: http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...rigcomamag.jpg I don't feel up to explaining who is who. It's already straight-forward enough. Yay! When is the next one? ~ Ka |
