I think the worst couple was Aldarion and Erendis too. He was always off and she was always cranky. Their daughter didn't turn out very good either.

The only other one I can think of is the last Numenor King and Queen. Pharazon took Miriel (did I spell it right? it's been a while) against her will and took power from her and named himself King. The King gets to spend eternity under a mountain and the Queen drowned in the fall.

Eol and Aredhel don't make a very good couple either.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Gimli and Legolas yet. I don't know who those two thought they were fooling with all that macho posturing and tallying kills. Please. Get a room.
