The only other thing I remember about Dol Amroth was Legolas marking Imrahil's elvish blood. He alludes to Nimrodel and of course he had sung the lay of Nimrodel when the bereaved fellowship approached Lorien. But Nimrodel never crossed the White Mountains and Amroth drowned himself -- so I don't think they could be understood as founders of the line, except in the eponymous sense. Of course Imrahil's banner, a white swan on a blue sea seems to point back to Earendil, but you already ruled that out. </p> |
