LePetitChoux 11-02-2002 01:02 PM

OK, I have one now. This isnt a WHO (thats obvious). Say WHERE the hobbits are. (I'm not sure myself but I have a guess.)

YEs, Tolkiengurl, that was Faramir.

I believe,LePetitChoux, that would be Faramir's hideout at Henneth Annun.

LePetitChoux 11-02-2002 01:50 PM

thats what I think too.

Raefindel 11-02-2002 02:13 PM

OK, Who's this pansy-guy?

http://www.cedmagic.com/featured/tol...1-elrond-2.jpg

TolkienGurl 11-02-2002 02:16 PM

That would be Lord Elrond, the Christmas tree lighting guy.

Edit: and Bilbo's curly hair

Indeed, Lovely Tolkiengurl. You're up

TolkienGurl 11-02-2002 02:38 PM

Are you making fun of my drooling, confused smiley?

Anyway, I have no idea how to post a picture so either someone please tell me, or go.

Raefindel 11-02-2002 02:53 PM

OK, I'm really bad at giving lessons but I'll give it a try. Here's Google Images. Type in a character and find an image you like. Click on the image;it will go split-screen-half the image you found, half the web-page hosting it. On the top half where the image is click on -see image alone- or -enlarge this image- when it is alone highlight the address and copy it.

Go back to this page, add reply and click "image" just below the typing box. Paste the address in there. Ta-dah! If it's not a protected image it will appear. I've had to delete several because sometimes you don't know if their protected unless you try.

TolkienGurl 11-02-2002 02:55 PM

Thank you! Let me try it... Ok never mind. I can't do it!

WooHoo! You did it! My guess is that's Meduseld.

TolkienGurl 11-02-2002 03:16 PM

Hee hee! Nope! Try again!

Raefindel 11-02-2002 03:18 PM

Helm's deep?

TolkienGurl 11-02-2002 03:19 PM

Yes! You win 1... million... dollars! But I don't have 1 million dollars. Oh well. You can go now.

Raefindel 11-02-2002 03:25 PM

That's OK, I found it myself.

Raefindel 11-02-2002 03:29 PM

Hey! You'll like this one! Who's this?

Diamond18 11-02-2002 03:42 PM

Is that Legolas again?

InklingElf 11-02-2002 03:44 PM

::nods:: I think that's Legolas alright-heh

Diamond18 11-02-2002 03:51 PM

Oh no it isn't! I won't say who it is, though, because I cheated to find out.

Raefindel 11-02-2002 03:53 PM

Nope! Not Legolas, In fact, not part of the Fellowship.

InklingElf 11-02-2002 03:54 PM

oh ok ummm: Aragorn? Elrond? Beren? One of the Valar-or a dark elf? Not from LOTR at all?

Raefindel 11-02-2002 04:03 PM

this will give it away. Here's his brother.

As I'm sitting here playing with you fellow wights, my daughter is listening to Leonard Nimoy's "the Ballad of Bilbo baggins" over and over and OVER...

dragoneyes 11-02-2002 04:25 PM

I don't actually think that helps at all! I'll probably kick myself when I find out who it is though.

Diamond18 11-02-2002 04:27 PM

This is so painful...remind me to never cheat again. Somebody guess the right answer and put me out of my misery.

Raefindel 11-02-2002 04:28 PM

You tell us, Diamond, and spare us further agony.

LePetitChoux 11-02-2002 04:28 PM

Its elrohir...or elrodan..one of them!

Raefindel 11-02-2002 04:30 PM

Yes, My Lord, the green one is Elrohir and the Blue is Elladan.

Diamond18 11-02-2002 04:44 PM

Ah, thank you LePetitChoux. I was about to break down and do it.

Raefindel 11-02-2002 05:39 PM

I'm going to take someone's turn. This fair lady is not who I thought she was.

http://www.cedmagic.com/featured/tol...09-eowyn-2.jpg

TolkienGurl 11-02-2002 07:19 PM

Eowyn?

Raefindel 11-02-2002 07:31 PM

Yes. Doesn't she look like Galadriel?

You're up.

TolkienGurl 11-02-2002 08:14 PM

http://www.aardvark.on.ca/tolkien/pix/ship_off.jpg

What is this?

[ November 02, 2002: Message edited by: TolkienGurl ]

Raefindel 11-02-2002 10:12 PM

Is that a Corsair of Urumbar? Hmmm... doesn't really look like it, but at a loss as to what else it could be. I guess the corsairs would be black, huh. And it doesn't look like a ship leaving the Grey Havens,
and that is definitely not Galadriel's Swan-ship.

LePetitChoux 11-03-2002 09:17 AM

This is a bit random, but could anyone find a pic of the freaky-cartoon Arwen?
I mean, they al look funny and people keep saying that they feel sorry for Arwen if she has to marry the weird Strider. But what does the lady herself look like? Anyone?

[ November 03, 2002: Message edited by: LePetitChoux ]

LePetitChoux 11-03-2002 09:21 AM

Is that a pic of Feanors ship going through the ice? (I forget the exact names)

Or at the end, the Grey Havens, the ringbearers' ship?

charly 11-03-2002 10:00 AM

Wo-AH. Those are really, really weird!
Ok,um,is that the ship Frodo,Gandalf,Galadriel&Co. all leave with??

Raefindel 11-03-2002 10:40 AM

Gee, LePetit, is this the one you mean?

http://www.jimcalagon.supanet.com/arwenarcher.jpg

LePetitChoux 11-03-2002 11:15 AM

LoL, no! I mean the 1978 one...

hobbitlass 11-03-2002 12:30 PM

LePetitChoux, Bakshi never finished his rendition of LotR. So we are spared his idea of how Arwen looks.
