I took my friend to see LOTR and she hadnt read the book yet and some jerk kept talking about what was coming up next. It didnt hurt me cause I knew but she was kinda upset. (she did read all the books though!! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] )

I went to see HP last Saturday and discovered that TTT trailer was not in it. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] I was ready to shout out what happened to it.

At HP: Each time Luscius Malfoy appears on screen, shout, "Haldir, you have turned evil! What happened?"
I swear that guy looks like him!

I'm sorry, I didn't know that the actor died recently! I never would have said that otherwise!!

BTW, I heard that Sir Ian McKellan died recently of leukemia, is this true?

Mintyztwin, I haven't heard anything about Sir Ian McKellen dying. I'm assuming that the news stations would've been talking about it if he had, so I'm guessing (and hoping) that he hasn't.

WEll, (this is sorta complicated, but here goes) my mom was talking to her friend about LotR (whether or not we should get it.), and her friend mentioned that "Gandalf" had died a few weeks ago from leukemia, and that he had had leukemia during the shooting of LotR. So I heard it second-second hand. But I know my mom's friend so it's possible true. I WANT TO KNOW!!! Arg. Somebody tell me!

My Halloween costume (that no one understood *sob* [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] ) was a hobbit. I made a cloak, & I wore a hobbit shirt, vest, pants, and jacket, I wore the RING, & I covered my brown shoes with doll-making hair.

I'm going to wear it when I go see HP.

Wow!!! Too cool!!!! I'm too tall to be a hobbit. *sniff* BUT I'D MAKE A GREAT ELF!!! Heh heh. Maybe a bow and quiver would look good at HP. *evil chuckling* [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]

LoL Thulorongil (excuse me if I misspelled your name, it's late...)! I was a hobbit too, and nobody recognized me either. I was Sam. I had a great costume--knicker-length khaki pants, an 1800's period working-style shirt, a green vest, no shoes, a short sword, and the Ring. I think it was the Ring that threw people off. But which movie is coming out? THE TWO TOWERS! Think about the end. Makes sense. But, most people hadn't even read Fellowship...le sigh.

Actually Orual, in an interview with one of the crew members, it was said that Shelob's Lair and everything after that will be in ROTK.

Well, I know that it'll be in RotK, but the friends I was expecting to recognize me were book-fans, not movie-fans anyway. Nobody else had even seen Fellowship. (And besides, if the others had really known me that well, they should've known that I was Sam anyway!)

Did you know that for halloween I dressed up as Galadriel and the ONE person that recognised me as dressing up as a LOTR character(besides my mum) thought I was ARWEN!!!!!

Yeah... I had a Halloween costume recognition problem too. Nobody got it that I was a Hobbit!! One lady (Actually my last year's Spanish teacher) Asked me, "Why aren't you wearing shoes? Aren't you cold?" And I was there with my other friend, also as a Hobbit (Pippin in fact) and we just said that that's how it was supposed to be. Some people should do more reading!!

I am tired, and this probably isn't funny, but I feel like posting it.

When the school of wizards comes up on screen, yell, "BARAD-DUR RIP OFF!"

but at the ttt premiere when people are shocked for any reason wisper in their ears that it will be alright and explain the movie all the way to the end fram by frame [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]

Some friends and i were actually going to dress up in our lotr costumes at the hp premiere and act like we were looking for the ttt movie and shout angry realizances that this is in fact not Lotr! skocking [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img]
