Music from the hit film The Lord Of The Rings has beaten works by Holst, Grieg and Dvorak to make it into the top 10 of classical music buffs' favourites. Howard Shore's compositions are ranked ninth in the annual Hall of Fame compiled from the votes of quarter of a million Classic FM listeners.
More
On Saturday, April 19, The Fellowship of the Ring won the Best Screenplay Nebula, awarded by the Science Fiction Writers of America at their annual conference in Philadelphia. IGN.com is asking 'Which one is your favorite movie out of this batch..' and among the options are The Two Towers, SW Ep II, The Matrix and others. Right now, the original Matrix is winning. If you can stand the excessively annoying adverts on IGN (Gotta love those full screen forced ads, pop-ups, pop-unders, pop-ins, pop-i'm-going-to-go-insane), go over and cast your vote!
Vote Here!

Fandango.com is running a "most anticipated sequel of the year" poll. RoTK is up against a few heavyweights. Wander on over and register your vote. I is at the bottom right.
Vote Here!

Done and done. Hope we win eh?

Digit Magazine has a poll asking "Which movie special effects blew your mind?" Apparently LoTR is leading, but is being dogged by the Matrix. You need to scroll down the page a bit to see the poll, which is on the left hand side.

|
Yay! I voted for RotK wherever it was nominated, and also PotC and X-men, my other two favorite movies (I wonder if it's any coincidence that they both have actors from LotR in them?)
|
It says that they're counting the first round votes now, and that we can vote for the finalists today starting at 6 pm EST.
|
Well, I just finished voting for LOTR, once again, in all the categories in which it was a finalist. And there were a lot.... Now hopefully it will win Best Picture, since TTT did last year, supposedly.
