This is like tennis- the questions keep rebounding on...and on...and on....
Running out of words to say....so I'll just give you my question:
Vardamir -> Elfwine the Fair |
It's me again...
Vardamir -> Elros -> Elrond -> Éomer -> Elfwine the Fair
:p |
I go to the bathroom for 30 seconds, I come back and what do you know...Nil's got it.
You're up buddy (for the 50th time).
|
This one:
Fatty Bolger -> Manwë Oooh...scary... |
Fatty Bolger -> Frodo -> Elrond -> Eärendil -> Manwë
|
I was thinking of Galadriel...
..but it's OK.
Yours again. |
....
Cool, this is quite an easy one. Try the two guys with similar but weird names:
Orophin -> Oropher :p |
Oh! Pick me! Pick me!
Orophin -> Frodo -> Celeborn -> Thranduil -> his father Oropher
|
And again...
...you're right.
Could have also been Orophin -> Legolas -> Thranduil -> Oropher (I'm not sure if Legolas knew his grandfather). Either way, you're up. |
My my, you two certainly had a good five hours of fun! :D And congrats to Nil on 1000+ posts he acquired in that time!
|
Hehe, I forgot about Leggy.
Anyway...
Vinyamar -> Vinyalondë Use only persons. :p P.S. Thanks, Lindo. Yes, that was fun. I'd love to do that again sometime. :) |
Vinyamar -> Tar-Aldarion -> Círdan -> Tuor -> Vinyalondë
|
Uh...Firefoot...
Your answer was in reverse, lass. Vinyamar was visited by Tuor.
But...I'll give the thread to you. :) |
Whoops! Maybe I should wake up before answering these. ;)
Glóin -> Glaurung You can't use Smaug - I don't know if he met Glaurung or not but you can't use him anyway. |
Gloin -> Gimli -> Galadriel -> Melian -> Turin -> Glaurung
|
Perfect.
|
Beren Erchamion -> Bilbo Baggins.
|
Beren Erchamion -> Thingol -> Galadriel -> Frodo -> Bilbo Baggins
|
Yup.
|
Ghân-buri-Ghân -> Gothmog Lord of Balrogs
|
Ghân-buri-Ghân -> Theoden -> Gandalf -> Manwe -> Morgoth -> Gothmog?
This is my first time doing this so i have no clue if i did this right! It's fun trying though |
Nice try, but you aren't supposed to use Gandalf, etc. because they know just about everybody.
|
Ok, let me try again!
Ghân-buri-Ghân -> Theoden -> Merry -> Frodo -> Sauron -> Gothmog? |
Fewer people.
|
But i thought it was in 6?
|
Quote:
|
Wait, how come Frodo to Mauhur (whoever that is) has to be in 3 moves, if its 6 degrees?
|
Maybe 6 degrees is just the name?
|
But still, why 3? why not 4 or 5 or 6?
|
6 degrees ... or less
Quote:
It is optional to set a maximum number of links. But, if the question-setter sets a maximum then it must be done in that number. Otherwise it can be done in up to 6 degrees (hence the name of the game). But you used Sauron anyway, Perky. How about: Ghân-buri-Ghân -> Merry -> Glorfindel -> Ecthelion -> Gothmog. |
That's what I was looking for. Your turn, Saucepan!
|
The Three Degrees ...
Thank, Firefoot. :)
Radagast -> Azog In three, please. And no Gandalf. :cool: |
Radagast-> Beorn-> Bolg-> Azog
|
Perfect, Lindol. :)
You're up. |
Hey that was a good one, I had to think about it for a bit... eh bout 4-5 extra seconds that is ;)
Hirgon-> Adalgrim Took Three separations or less and no Gandalf. |
I think this is too much but...
Hirgon -> Theoden -> Pippin -> Adalgrim Took ? |
I'm not sure if Pippin knew Adalgrim, so I'll go with:
Hirgon -> Theoden -> Merry -> Bilbo -> Adalgrim Took |
None of the above! I'm not counting Pippin as knowing Adalgrim since it never really says. There is one very small instance where one charcter passes by another, and it is a very hard thing to catch, which is precisely why I used this puzzle! ;)
|
Hirgon -> Merry -> Esmeralda Took -> Adalgrim Took
|
Well I think for that to work, you would have to put in Hildigrim Took between Esmerelda and Adalgrim. In that case there's a quicker way, but there are still three hobbits invloved...The tricksy part comes from Hirgon.
