Some pictures were taken the other day, on my birthday, maybe there's one that actually looks "normal" enough to show. (Normal meaning less like the wicked witch or evil stepmother type...oh, that's right. I am an evil stepmother... :D )

Brinniel 12-22-2006 03:23 AM

Ah, well I meant it as a compliment since Scarlett as always been considered by many as one of the most beautiful of actresses.

But of course, Cailin is much prettier. :)

Cailín 12-23-2006 05:09 PM

And I agree with you, Brinniel, so I shall take it as a compliment. :)

Though I don't think I really look anything like her.

Galadel Vinorel 12-30-2006 06:58 PM

This is awesome, Tigerlily!

Good job! :)

Is Tigerlily still updating the page? I'd like to post a new picture myself.

Rune Son of Bjarne 02-06-2007 04:33 PM

I belive so

Oddwen 02-07-2007 10:39 AM

When I did WW XXIIX, I must confess to looking at all the players' pictures to try to get some ideas for killing them (don't worry...the game is over. I know it's over.), and while viewing Lommy's picture, I discovered that she doesn't have pink hair. It's a sunbeam of some sort.

Just...wow, Lommy. I had always pictured you with pink hair.

Durelin 02-07-2007 12:25 PM

I keep meaning to mention this...

Saucey looks an awful lot like my dad in his picture. Well, my dad about...fifteen years ago... :D

Well, that one's about three years old now.

I would update it if I had any decent recent photos of myself.

Although there is this one ... :D

Durelin 02-07-2007 06:17 PM

Brilliant!

You are undoubtedly the British version of my dad. :p

 The red-orange-pink (whatever you wish to call it) stripe at my hair is some problem there was with developing the film. In real life I have brown hair.

And I really should send in a new pic, that one must be four or five years old...

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult... to have look like you looked when you were twelve or thirteen...

"Why?" Because I disagree with you Volo, I think I look different. *shrugs* At least I have longer hair! :p

HerenIstarion 02-11-2007 01:09 PM

Talking about updates, and since there are more of me about now, I would be glad to have mine updated too :)

Hookbill the Goomba 02-11-2007 01:18 PM

The baby looks a little shocked or horrified... Good gracious me! He or she hasn't just seen Gandalf the Grey... uncloaked?
Or maybe, Mount Zoom is about to run over the picture taker. :D

Roa_Aoife 02-11-2007 01:23 PM

I like your hair.

Also, I am always amused by how small children look when their bundled up for cold weather. :D

He.

First time out of town, H-I Junior goggled on everything around (lots of birds and some squirrels, frozen-through lake and small airplane circling it for good part of an hour to top the bunch of things new and unforeseen and unexpected for the whole 'town-life' before)

Bunlded re: some ten minutes to put all the clothes on, some ten more to take all them off when back home :)

Think of that (and all other I say) as a compliment, as pretty much everything I say can also be understood as an insult. (I myself usually decide what I mean after I say it. :( )

Well, I we can't see the length of your hair in that picture.

Lalaith 02-19-2007 11:50 AM

H-I -
Bad dad! you forgot the mittens! ;)

But seriously. Your offspring is adorable.

Yay! A new pic! I am on the right, my chum is on the left.

Just about the only pic I like with me in it.... ;)

Nimrodel_9 02-25-2007 09:02 PM

Hmm... Tigerlily hasn't made any updates yet. I'm curious to see if my pic got through. I'm not the best with computers. :p
It's so much fun to see everyone! :D

Mänwe 02-25-2007 09:09 PM

Aye, I sent one through too. Faces to names certainly makes it more easy to dislike or like that name! :p

Anguirel 03-01-2007 12:15 PM

I'll send this to Tigerlily anon. This picture is notable for two reasons...I'm about to cut my 18th birthday cake, and I'm in the bizarre uniform of my school, Eton...

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...r/DSC00460.jpg

Point and laugh. What on earth am I doing with my face?

Mithalwen 03-01-2007 12:26 PM

Preparing it to eat a lot of cake, perchance? I think the uniform is fab... but a bit low key after the King of France get up?

The leopard is adorable...

It seems Tigerlily hasn't been around since the beginning of November. I hope everything's alright on that end. I'll post my new photo here. This is from my wedding.

Nogrod 03-01-2007 01:46 PM

The Ice-Queen indeed!

:D

Tigerlily Gamgee 03-01-2007 03:30 PM

I'm soooo sorry for my absence. I've had a lot going on in life and am still trying to catch up.
I've been earning various fitness related certifications and have been attending workshops for others. Then I got quite ill, and then my grandmother passed away.

I'm still trying to catch up with everything.

I have pictures in my inbox and hopefully I'll get to them soon.

So sorry for the delay.

And we both know that I'm far too hotheaded for that. ;)

Happy to have you back, Tigerlily, though I curse your timing. Copuldn't you have made it before I posted my pic here? :p :)

Rune Son of Bjarne 03-01-2007 06:34 PM

yeah it is a good fairy tale. . ."Snedronningen" runs in cartoon version on Danish telly every winter.

Are you allways that pale?

I have two shades: sheet and lobster, which is the color I turn during the summer when I go to the beach.

I saw a t-shirt that summed it up once. "Warning: Authentic Redhead. Keep out of direct sunlight."

Durelin 03-01-2007 07:52 PM

Ang, I feel like I need to give you an eye-patch, nastier looking teeth, a little less dapper outfit, and a little speech bubble reading "Yarr." Oh, and the glasses just have to go if we're going to do this right.

Then I'll be very afraid.

Thinlómien 03-02-2007 01:19 AM

Yay, new nice pics! (Though, no offense Ang and Roa, HI's baby/toddler is still the most adorable... :p)

Durelin - that comment combined with that avvie is something so funny! :D I mean it looks like: (in a slightly sarcastic voice) "Oh my God, this is hopeless, does he think that's scary, he could put a little more effort..."
;)

Roa, you really do look like the Snow Queen... or a porcelain angel... or a vampire... or some heroine from Jane Austen's books... whichever you prefer!

My sister has promised to take a nice family pic of me and Noggie to be put on the photo page... so that might (or might not) end up here some day...

Macalaure 03-02-2007 04:21 AM

I feel the need to advise you to be careful once Tigerlily has updated the page: A picture of me will linger there from then on.

Photos make me look even worse than reality already does.

Just thought I should warn you.

That is very good...... reminds me of when I showed my graduation photos to an older colleague who was a real pukka mem-sahib type and she said approvingly "oh you wore white gloves!" ..noooo those are my hands..... and I was merely "almost titian" (ie a bit ginger :p ).

Lalwendë 03-03-2007 06:20 AM

Strawberry Blonde then? :p That phrase always used to make me laugh, as it was always used by people loathe to admit they were well, a bit ginger...

Me and sun do not mix - my skin goes red, falls off and is then white once again. Whereas my father used to be out all day gardening with no shirt on and weirdly go neither brown nor red.

Anguirel - I shall hold myself back from making some 'witty' Cameron-related jokes or remarks... :D

Lalaith 03-03-2007 09:01 AM

I am impressed by how lovely you look in a low angle shot, Roa.
Only the young and highly attractive can carry that off....
(I remember forcing some poor photographer to hover over me on a tall chair in an attempt to look half-decent for a picture...)

Ang the cake-killer....do you have a thing for Lampedusa?

Roa_Aoife 03-03-2007 11:47 AM

Thanks for all your compliments! Keep in mind, though, that I looked extra pretty for my wedding. Normally I'm less "done up." I clean up good, though. :D

Yes that's it. It is something that clearly skipped a generation since my parents could tan a bit , but my grannie had celtic skin and I got the premature grey gene from her too :(. I gave up trying to tan after a lot of freckles and some horrific sunburn and so have been a devotee of big hats and high factor for years. One advantage is that you spare yourself the ageing effects of the sun - and joy of joys I have found fake tan that isn't orange so can go barelegged in the summer

It does seem that a disproportionate number of us are "pale and interesting" - I wonder if it is because a tan was seen as desirable in RL but pale skin is regarded so positivesly in ME ? ;)
