It could be something completely different
Again I think you are to focused on the Wilwa part. It was only meant to give you an indicating of what the first was.

Durelin 06-29-2006 10:12 AM

Okay, here are my guesses (I'm such a cheat with two...):

1. It's you, because you were the first to sign up on the very first WW game (is one allowed to pick him/herself, though?) :p

2. It's Anguirel, as the first Wolf to be lynched in the game (and actually the first person to be killed period, I think...).

mormegil 06-29-2006 11:43 AM

Durelin you are getting very close but you haven't added up all the 'firsts'.

And yes one is allowed to pick oneself.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 06-29-2006 12:49 PM

Is it Feanor of the Peredhil?

The first in the first refers to the players who played in that game.

The first of that lot to post in the actual game was Fea.

mormegil 06-29-2006 11:28 PM

The First in the first (game) on the first.

The first game is correct. Other than that you are close but no.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 06-30-2006 10:32 AM

If you stare at the word 'first' long enough, it begins to look really weird. :D

So the game itself is the second 'first'? I thought it must be the third 'first' because the third 'first' is the one in the series.

mormegil 06-30-2006 11:06 AM

It really could go any way I guess....

In the first game on the first....

Valesse 06-30-2006 12:22 PM

Perhaps you mean that it was the first game on the first of a month... or the first person to post on the first of a month? Or, maybe, a year?

mormegil 06-30-2006 12:38 PM

No I meant the first WW game ever!

I'm moderately egocentric okay. (there's a hint)

Edit: Think of how you can add in the Wilwa's thread bit into the mix and how it could relate to firsts.

Mithalwen 07-01-2006 04:01 AM

Well I did wonder if it were you Morm dear, as the first seer but I you didn't play Wilwa's game. However Kuruharan was the first victorious werewolf (in the first game) but in Wilwas he was the Werewolf Hunter. Is that it?

mormegil 07-01-2006 07:36 AM

No sorry. Remember I'm a bit egocentric here, so it's something I did.

Feanor of the Peredhil 07-01-2006 08:24 AM

Good grief... Aime was right about looking at the word 'first'. It doesn't even make sense any more!

Quote:

The first of the first on the first in a series of many but not in Wilwa's threads
*looks at the original Tol-in-Gaurhoth thread, on page 10 where the June 1st posts begin*

First thread... on the first... first post was Holby, but the first person that volunteered to play that day was mormegil who was also, interestingly enough, the very first to volunteer to play WW on the 'Downs at all...

Hold on... Morm was the first of the first players, and he was also the first player to volunteer on the first of June on the first of the Werewolf threads... but he um... didn't play in Wilwa's game...

I hate the word first now, morm. Thanks much. :p

mormegil 07-01-2006 12:27 PM

GACK!!!

Okay sorry this clue is awful...let me spell it a little more clearly. It does have something to do with the first WW game ever it has absolutely NOTHING to do with Wilwa's game. Something from a thread Wilwa created gives you a clue about what the first was in the first WW game.

Hope that helps.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-01-2006 12:33 PM

Firefoot!

mormegil 07-01-2006 12:46 PM

YES!!

YES!!!

YES!!!!

She was the first person dreamt of in the first game on the frist night...Wilwa's BD dreams was the clue on that, it also got you to WW.

Thank you good sir and the thread is gladly yours.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-01-2006 01:33 PM

Morm, that was a really entertaining clue. The fact that it took us so long reflects only on its intricacies. :)

Celuien, that's exactly why I didn't explain my answer. I knew that it might be crucial to save a few moments and just get my answer out there. :D

I'll go think of a clue.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-01-2006 02:01 PM

This might be very easy if anyone remembers it. If not, then it might require a clue.

The Downs' notorious sly teen.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-05-2006 03:16 PM

It's an anagram. :p

Anguirel 07-05-2006 03:18 PM

Sorry for being so dim Eomer...should have got it long ago

Estelyn of course

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-06-2006 11:08 AM

Bingo Baggins! :D

Take it away.

Anguirel 07-10-2006 09:48 AM

Hmmm.

Depraved at dusk

Glirdan 07-10-2006 10:30 AM

Would this be in reference to an avatar? Because if so, my guess would be Esty.

Anguirel 07-10-2006 10:31 AM

'Fraid avatars are red herrings in this particular case.

Valier 07-10-2006 11:03 AM

Could it be Fea's? The Bringer red dawn

Anguirel 07-10-2006 11:11 AM

I'm dealing with dusk, not dawn! But you're looking at the right thingamajig. Keep searching...

Mithalwen 07-10-2006 11:29 AM

Nuramaiel - Vice of Twilight. ?

Anguirel 07-10-2006 11:41 AM

I surrender. Yours, Mith!

Mithalwen 07-10-2006 12:30 PM

Thanks,

Note that the difference is a majority

Valier 07-10-2006 01:35 PM

I swear I will get one of these one day...... Could it be Saucepanman? He is the person on top of the list for reps.... and the difference is a majority...:D

Mithalwen 07-10-2006 02:00 PM

No... and the clue would apply to the person regardless of their palce in the list. Think of other meanings :D

mormegil 07-10-2006 02:18 PM

Fordim? A possible stretch but he does have the majority of polls and he usually chooses the answer which conforms to the majority.

Mithalwen 07-11-2006 06:25 AM

Again I Say think of other meanings............

Eomer of the Rohirrim 07-11-2006 06:35 AM

Looking in the thesaurus, I find that 'majority' can also mean 'adulthood', 'manhood', 'womanhood' or 'seniority'. I never knew that. Is the clue to do with that?

Maybe we're looking for our oldest Downer?

Mithalwen 07-12-2006 06:04 AM

Eomer ..that is the meaning I was thinking of.... :D but not the right conclusion

The Saucepan Man 07-12-2006 06:18 AM

In the UK and many other countries, the legal age of majority is 18. So ...

Diamond18?

Mithalwen 07-12-2006 06:24 AM

You are getting warmer but the rest of the clue is not irrelevant..... I do try, but not always succeed, to follow the conventions.

mormegil 07-12-2006 07:00 AM

note=posts

The Saucepan Man as his post count exceeds that of everybody else.

Mithalwen 07-12-2006 12:15 PM

you are right to think of note but you are getting cooler on the whole. 18 is significant too.... the whole clue should "work" . If the Pan Man gets it easily now I will know it has.

mormegil 07-12-2006 03:10 PM

Is it one of those clues only Brits would understand?

Next I simply must do an American only one. :p

wilwarin538 07-12-2006 04:05 PM

mark12_30

The difference between 12 and 30 is 18, which is the legal age of majority(like Saucie said). :D
