7. To get from Tol Sirion to Nargothrond, what road would you use?

Rochelle 12-14-2004 06:36 PM

The Pass of Sirion?

Firefoot 12-14-2004 08:06 PM

Nope.

Evisse the Blue 12-15-2004 06:51 AM

Through the Forest of Brethil coming out at the crossings of Teiglin?

Lindolirian 12-15-2004 02:39 PM

Does this road have a specific name? Or would description like Evisse's suffice?

Firefoot 12-15-2004 05:16 PM

I'll take Evisse's answer, since the route is right. According to the UT index there is a road, but in the text there isn't an actual name and the map doesn't show a road all the way through...

10. What was the name of the pass that Bilbo and the Dwarves took through the Misty Mountains (before they were captured by Goblins)?

Lindolirian 12-15-2004 06:07 PM

The High Pass, also known as Cirith Forn en Andreth.

Firefoot 12-15-2004 08:45 PM

And we have a tie, between Lindo and Nil. This question will be for those two only then:

*Name two places where you might walk on a road or trail that is lined with stones.*

Nilpaurion Felagund 12-16-2004 01:09 AM

Hmmm . . .

The path to Rivendell is lined with white stones . . .

And perhaps the road to Halifirien.

I am so throwing guesses blindly.

Firefoot 12-16-2004 04:57 PM

I'll accept the Rivendell one, but I need another unless you can prove the Halifirien one (I couldn't find any).

Firefoot 12-21-2004 07:51 AM

I'm going to be away for a while so a big hint: There are two different places where Frodo does before he reaches Bree.

Nilpaurion Felagund 12-24-2004 07:56 AM

Hmmm . . .

The path to Bombadil's house?

Firefoot 12-28-2004 05:07 PM

Two thumbs up.

And the winner is Nilpaurion Felagund. I surrender the thread to thee.
