Wow. That was quick. Yout turn, Horse Maiden!

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 07-28-2003 10:24 AM

It comes from watching the special features in the EE over and over...

Quote:

So we had more champagne!

Eruwen 07-28-2003 10:28 AM

Billy Boyd. He was talking about how it was his birthday and he and Orlando had champagne on the plane, and then when they got to NZ it was his birthday again due to the time difference so they had some more champagne. Yes, I've watched the special features many times as well.

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 07-28-2003 01:05 PM

Wow! A whole four minute interval on that one!

Your go, Eruwen.

Eruwen 07-29-2003 10:00 AM

Yeah, I think I have watched the special features about as many times as I've watched the movie. {And I have the movie memorized now seeing I've seen it 20 times.}

Anyway, here's the next quote:

Quote:

I got my dirt...
This is really of an easy one, but it's all I could come up with off the top of my head. It won't take long, but go at it!

Luthien_ Tinuviel 07-29-2003 10:06 AM

That would be Elijah Wood. (Once again from the special features, and I have seen them numerous times as well).

Eruwen 07-29-2003 08:04 PM

Yeah, I figured it was really easy. I even tried only putting in a segment of the quote to make you think a little harder, but I guess it's just too familiar of a part in the DVD. Your go, Luthien.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 07-30-2003 05:47 PM

Thankyou! Let's see... I now have a list of funny quotes to be used on this thread, so it is hard to choose which one to use... How about this one?

Quote:

...doing the drunken Sam walk...
Try to solve that one!

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 07-30-2003 07:14 PM

The drunken Sam walk? *laughs*

Hmm...how about Elijah Wood? I can't get him out of my head saying that...it's quite annoying.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 07-30-2003 07:19 PM

Yes, it actually is! First guess too! Very good job, Horse-Maiden! It is Elijah Wood on the EE commentary talking about BK the stunt double "doing the druken Sam walk" aftr leaving the Green Dragon Inn. Your turn!

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 07-30-2003 10:21 PM

Hey, cool! I knew it was off of the commentary when I thought about it. Ah...good times.

Quote:

Yeah, a couple times.

Orofaniel 07-31-2003 04:33 AM

hm......Christopher Lee??

*don't know if I wrote it correct*

Eruwen 07-31-2003 09:05 AM

Finally someone comes up with a difficult one!! And yes, Orofaniel, you wrote it right. My guess is Sean Astin for I have no clue. But hey he's been used alot recently so I figured I go with him.

Samwise 07-31-2003 12:08 PM

Hm......
Dom?

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 07-31-2003 12:30 PM

No, no, and no. Sorry there.

EDIT: Oro, you did write it correctly.

[ July 31, 2003: Message edited by: Horse-Maiden of the Shire ]

Orofaniel 07-31-2003 01:22 PM

I know Eruwen said it too. Thanks anyway!

Okey new guess; Ian?

Eruwen 07-31-2003 01:25 PM

Viggo?

Samwise 07-31-2003 03:39 PM

Pip--er--Billy Boyd?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 07-31-2003 03:53 PM

That sounds to me like something Elijah Wood would say, seeing as "a couple times" is kind of an American expression.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 08-03-2003 05:40 PM

*bump* Horse-Maiden? Are you there?

Eruwen 08-05-2003 01:16 PM

Horse Maiden? Are you out there? You know, very often we get people who are supposed to post a quote and dont come back to do it, but rarely do we ever have the situation where the person doesn't come back to say who got it right. Is there a day limit on this type of thing as well? I mean, how long should we go like this?

Orofaniel 08-05-2003 01:22 PM

Eruwen, I have no idea. I really hope she'd come back soon so we could hear the answer.

Anyway.....Wait and see?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 08-06-2003 02:48 PM

Hellooooooooo?

Eruwen 08-07-2003 08:45 PM

Ok, it's been 7 days now and I'm not a very patient person. Are we gonna keep waiting on Horse Maiden of the Shire to come back or can we continue this at some time? I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I just have a problem with not being able to wait very long for things. I say give her 3 more days. Anyone have any other ideas?

vanwalossien 08-08-2003 03:05 AM

I PMed her to remind her, but it doesn't seem like she's checking her PMs. Ten days is the rule, isn't it?

Eärendil 08-08-2003 05:35 AM

Actually, seven days is the standard rule... (is it different in this thread?)
Post a quote, someone!
I can´t though, not enough time... *sigh*

[ August 08, 2003: Message edited by: Eärendil ]

Eruwen 08-08-2003 10:08 AM

Thank you, Eärendil! I didn't want to wait 10 days, but it seemed that every time this happens that's how long we wait, so I just threw it in there. But here's the next quote...cause I have enough time to post one.

Quote:

"You can't really figure out what he's saying,"
This is sort of an easy one, but in spite of recent events that may be taking place in about 5 months, I decided to do a quote by this particular person. So go ahead...guess...if you even have to.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 08-08-2003 11:17 AM

Isn't that Elijah Wood talking about Ian McKellen's protests to the hobbit actors playing loud music at five in the morning?

Eruwen 08-08-2003 01:45 PM

Yes, Luthien, it is Elijah. The whole quote:

"Ian shared our trailor. So if you can imagine, the four Hobbits ina trailer with Ian McKellen...So that became kinda difficult...You know, you'd kinda hear him sort of...aargh!!! in the back of the trailor, aaarrrgh!!! at some point just protesting in some sort of, you know...you can't really figure out what he's saying, just protesting."

I love that part of the DVD. But your go, Luthien. Wow, it seems like I've been saying that a lot on this thread.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 08-09-2003 04:15 PM

Quote:

Yeah, I love this thread.

So here's the new quote:

Quote:

Well you need to just-kind of-learn!
Yes, I've started a funny quote trend. Everyone of mine is going to be slightly offbeat for a while, so be prepared!

What do you mean by that? And for the quote, I'll go for Orli. It just sounds like him...kinda.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 08-09-2003 04:41 PM

Oops, I wrote "of" twice! Must fix that...

I meant that I have compiled a list of quotes to use on this thread, and everyone that I post will either sound funny or else be from a funny conversation.

(And no, it's not Orli).

Eruwen 08-09-2003 07:45 PM

I don't know why I'm guessing this, but I have this idea in my mind that I think I might have a lead on what the quote is talking about, so I'm going to say Sean Bean.

Samwise 08-09-2003 09:02 PM

As usual, no idea, but for some reason I'm thinking:
Liv Tyler?

Orofaniel 08-10-2003 04:50 AM

Is it Ian?

Novnarwen 08-10-2003 10:06 AM

Viggo?

*nova*

Luthien_ Tinuviel 08-10-2003 03:04 PM

Sorry, but all are wrong. We all seem to have reversed our patterns of guessing, but it's not working very well. Keep trying!

(Oh wait. I guess a clue might be nice. The quote is a response to someone saying something along the lines of (this is a rough paraphrase): "How did you find that out? I didn't know that! How did you know that?")

Good luck!

Eruwen 08-10-2003 03:54 PM

Ok then, Sean Astin?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 08-10-2003 04:10 PM

No, but getting closer....

Samwise 08-10-2003 04:34 PM

Elijah ?
