Hi all. Back after a few year absence. I left shortly after the FotR came out in theatres, for reasons that may be guessed at. Now the furor has died down, so I'm back. Sad to see some of my buddies left at around the same time and haven't returned (Heren-Istarion where are you?).
Looking over the various threads I see things are largely back to normal, apart from everything being far more awesome than it was when I left.
I still have no idea how people manage to accumulate so many posts without spamming...

Anyway, I'm back.

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to the books. So this should be a great learning tool. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm pretty new here too, guys. As you might guess, I'm from Australia! I absolutely love everything to do with the LOTR. My family has all the books and all the extended DVD's, and I love all of them. Legolas rocks! :D

I'm in the same boat as Halbarad- I haven't been here in a very long time, almost two years!

But I'm back. I was glad that at least a couple people recognized me from the good old days. How long will I stay? Don't know. Depends on how busy I get, but it looks like I'll be around for a few months anyway.

Encaitare, I haven't seen The Boy From Oz, but I just loved the sound of the name. Of course I changed it to fit my gender :D , but Hugh Jackman IS one of my favourite actors.

BTW, my name really has nothing to do with that musical/movie/whatever-you-call-it! it's just I had a sudden inspiration! :p

Hello, everyone. Not new to Middle-earth at all, but haven't read a lot of the newer publications...my knowledge stops after Unfinished Tales and Silmarillian, both of which I loved.

Would love to read these other books, but unfortunately am in a part of the world where such books are almost impossible to come by and would cost an arm and a leg even if they weren't.

Have enjoyed all the new info learned from the website so far, though.
