My clue was "Not one... to the North" - I just knew this had to be something to do with Orcs. Finding the precise quote took some rummaging - but this has always been one of the more memorable scenes for me. I mean, imagine the sheer cheek of the guy, standing there on a battlement about to be drowned in the black flood and threatening a host of enemies who outnumber him and his friends a hundred to one or more that "Not one of you will be spared"! And what's more, he's proven right! It's just great.
