Not funny (however appealing), Losth, this is real and unavoidable.

Rosseiliantiel 10-29-2002 10:56 AM

Wow, I was in a bad mood yesterday. It is funny. Just not plausible. Well, yes, plausible, but not realistic. Well, yes...
*ahem*
The point is, I can't. Not from lack of skill or motivation, rather fear of...consequences. Can we please, please, PLEASE try to change the date? For my poor sanity, or insanity, or...meh.

gollum*elf*pup 10-29-2002 04:17 PM

Yeah, sure. How about the 16? Or maybe the 22? Or 23? I am pretty much not doing much the whole month (except going to the Royal, yay!) so any date would probably be okay.

Rosseiliantiel 10-29-2002 05:23 PM

Ooh, wait, my cousions are leaving at noon on the 17! If it's in the afternoon, I can probably go!

Losthuniel 10-29-2002 05:41 PM

Is the afternoon on Nov. 17 (its a Sunday, in case you wanted to know)good with everyone?

gollum*elf*pup 10-30-2002 06:18 AM

Yes, that's fine!!!

Rosseiliantiel 10-30-2002 12:41 PM

Something to think about:

gollum*elf*pup 11-14-2002 06:36 PM

I'm coming! I'm also bringing my friend, and my sister. Do you have to buy tickets in advance? Or can you just buy them there???

Thinhyandoiel 11-15-2002 02:28 AM

Agh, I am so mad. I can't go!!!! >_< I forgot to book off a weekend at work...*sighs* Dammit. Schedule's already up, too.

Rosseiliantiel 11-15-2002 04:37 PM

People who can't come
sure, anyone who's coming can bring whoever, Losth's and my friend Mary is coming too.
Oki, Losth an I have tickets for 4:30 cos I have another engagement (Irish dancing) that goes until 3:30 but its in the beaches so it will take that long for me to get to the ROM.

Losthuniel 11-15-2002 06:11 PM

definitly order them in advance. I'm not sure if they sell them @ the door.

I thinki it would b better if we met at the steps of the ROM. Just cuz im not quite sure where its being held. 4:30, at the steps to the ROM, yes?

gollum*elf*pup 11-16-2002 07:13 AM

Wahhhh! So my dad tells me yesterday I can't go!! Since I live kinda far away, and the santa claus prade is being helf that day, (which goes right pass the ROM, so it'll be really busy) I won't be able to get a drive

Losthuniel 11-16-2002 10:26 AM

oi vey. We've been fraught with disaster from the first. I guess we'll have to try for a time later on in the year (like summer!) *sigh* this is too bad...

Rosseiliantiel 11-17-2002 10:28 AM

Botheration. Hmmm...maybe we can all go to TTT all together or something...

gollum*elf*pup 11-17-2002 12:54 PM

Hey Rossiel thats a good idea!

Rosseiliantiel 11-18-2002 12:19 PM

I had a WHAT? An IDEA? And a GOOD one at that? This is a sure first...ok moving onwards...Thanks

My brain hurts far to much to start planning right now.

Rosseiliantiel 11-26-2002 10:59 AM

The Two Towers exhibit was REALLY COOL! I wish everybody could have come!

gollum*elf*pup 11-26-2002 02:49 PM

Ooh, tell us about it!!!

Rosseiliantiel 11-28-2002 06:11 PM

Ooh, where to begin...
First of all, it was really REALLY crowded and there were some exceptionally dumb people behind us who called Hobbits, 'Muggles' and could not tell the difference between a hunting knife and a sword. But I digress.

It was a big, long, glorious walk-through type thing and along the way there were cases with props from the movie, such as weaponry and jewelry and various variousities. You name it, they had it! The mithril vest was beautiful! And they had the One Ring near the end!

So you went through all these rooms that were themed and decorated as places from the movie, they had Fangorn Forest (with fake trees and artificial fog, but well done), the Golden Hall (complete with fire pit and carved columns), Helm's Deep, Orthanc, and basically everywhere else. In some places they had up whole sets as they were in the movie, such as Saruman's office-thing (he's very messy, books everywhere!).
They also had strategically placed TVs with snippets from the movie.

Then at the end, there was drumroll a gift shop. With a whole lot of really random stuff, such as LotR Sour Gummies. But they also had some really nice elven-type clothing, and Losth and I bought shirts. All in all, a tiring but good day.

Oh, for some sort of teleportation device so you all could have come!

Losthuniel 11-28-2002 08:32 PM

I'm plotting a way to steal Arwen's bedroom set. Mine.

gollum*elf*pup 11-29-2002 07:14 AM

Wow, sounds cool! I get to go on Sunday! Huzzah!

Rosseiliantiel 11-29-2002 12:43 PM

Ooh have lots of fun!

It'll be great!
But prepare to wait in line, in the cold, for a LONG time.

Rosseiliantiel 11-30-2002 10:25 AM

Hello, gralin musicteeth
Welcome to our topic
I, too, have Newfoundland blood in me, but it's about 3 generations old, and I live in T.O. O well.

Rosseiliantiel 12-16-2002 03:34 PM

Newsflash:
Losth, another friend of ours, and I have tickets for TTT on Wednesday. Looks like we're not all going together. That fell through thoroughly. http://pub56.ezboard.com/fantibarrow...topic&index=15

gollum*elf*pup 12-16-2002 04:17 PM

Lol, I have tickets for Wednesday too...just probably at a different theatre. Next time though! Cause we all have to see it like 20 times, right?

Rosseiliantiel 12-19-2002 08:32 PM

I plan to be pushing around that number before the new year!
Losth and I got to be some of the geeky fanatics in costume, we wore period shirts that we bought at the Rom exhibit

Galadrie1 12-20-2002 11:13 AM

20 times?! Sheesh... I'll be lucky if I get to see it four times... It's kinda hard to see movies here 'cause it's a 45 minute drive to the theatre.

gollum*elf*pup 12-29-2002 11:32 AM

Did you guys see the Two Towers ice sculptures in Toronto? Some of them were kinda cool! I liked the flying Nazgul one. I have some pictures, I'll post them up later if I get the chance.

Arwen Imladris 01-02-2003 12:38 PM

I didn't get to see them, however some of the best can be found here.

This is my favourite

Elven-Maiden 01-02-2003 01:34 PM

I'm Canadian too! I'm from Ontario, about 2 & 1/2 h from T.O., but I'll be moving there next year, hopefully.

Arwen Imladris 01-07-2003 03:23 PM

Hey people we are awsome! Look at this site! It says that canadians rated TTT as the best movie! Yaa!

gollum*elf*pup 01-07-2003 03:49 PM

Tee-hee, us Canadians are just so smart, eh? We know what the good movies are.

Arwen Imladris 02-01-2003 12:13 PM

While Americans flock to see movies about a rap-singing kangaroo, oversexed honeymooners and a child-stealing witch called the Tooth Fairy, Canadian moviegoers are sticking to The Lord Of The Rings, with Chicago closing quickly in the box-office rankings as it moves into more theatres.

Check It Out!

Oh ya! Canadians are cool! (Actually cold cause it is WINTER!) Sorry, I couldn't resist.
