A cautious Wren awaits Tevildo's telling of the plan . . . :)

piosenniel 05-21-2006 02:24 PM

Let's start moving to the end of this game, please.

Nerindel - please get your SAVE in post #144 filled.

lmp - perhaps you and Nerindel can discuss what needs to be done to bring Arato/Wenda's/the Creature's part of the game to some conclusion.

Child, Tevildo, Envin, Rose, Huan, Arry - can you move your wolf attack along?

Undómë - what do you want to do with Goody?

~*~ Pio

Undómë 05-21-2006 03:01 PM

Old Goody's part in this should be done in about 1 or 2 more posts beyond the SAVE I put up.

~ U

littlemanpoet 05-21-2006 04:17 PM

Nerindel has not been around much. Her last activity anywhere was May 3.

This makes it difficult to do much wrapping up of anything. I'll PM her and see what I can find out.

Child of the 7th Age 05-22-2006 01:18 AM

I will try to get the animals a bit more organized tomorrow (real time).

Nerindel 05-22-2006 04:49 PM

Save #144 is filled over to you LMP

littlemanpoet 05-22-2006 08:29 PM

RL is inflicting me now! I'll reread yours and post up mine as soon as I have half an hour somewhere in the next day or so.....

Child of the 7th Age 05-24-2006 12:32 AM

Tevildo and Wren - I've put up a general description of what the songbirds and cats are doing. If there are any problems with this, let me know.

I've also put up a save for the wolves that I hope to get at tomorrow. As the battle begins, please feel free to post your own individual battles with the wolves in addition to the intermittant descriptions I put up.

piosenniel 05-25-2006 12:31 PM

The little birds have attacked . . . and though a number have fallen, they press on in their attack against the mangy beasts!

~*~ Pio

Rose 05-25-2006 01:32 PM

2 of the wolves now lie dead - score 1 each for the brown bear and White Paw with his two brothers.

:p

Huan 05-25-2006 01:49 PM

:D

Birger and one of the cats has nearly disabled another one!

Arry 05-25-2006 10:00 PM

We little folk have the wolves in some disarray . . . :D

Wolfy, wolfy, burning bright
In the inn yard late that night,
What brave Halfling's skillful eye
Assaults thy fearful symmetry?

Against what darkling deeps and skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
What little wings dared to aspire
To stop you cold with ash and fire?

Undómë 05-25-2006 11:14 PM

Well, the two tall men have been posed a question. I'll be interested to see what your response is, Envinyatar. :)

Envinyatar 06-01-2006 03:29 AM

Child

Shall I wrap up the battle with the wolves or would you be able to do it?

Envinyatar 06-02-2006 06:36 PM

Child

I've put up a SAVE for a final post for the Inn battle. I'll probably move time forward a little too and have my two characters leave.

Is this OK with you?

Child of the 7th Age 06-02-2006 07:03 PM

Many thanks. Sounds good to me.

littlemanpoet 06-02-2006 09:52 PM

I foresee one wrap up post regarding the Wenda part of this story while it is at Fir Hill. Then I see another epilogue type post with Wenda back at the Green Man, dealing with her loss. I hope we can have a bit of a slow end like we had a slow beginning, with the highly exciting plot sandwiched between words of wisdom and joy and whatever else....

Child of the 7th Age 06-03-2006 09:51 AM

My bad....

I have finally filled in this save (#157), and placed another one at the end of the string for comments by the poor ravaged wolves.

Envinyatar 06-03-2006 12:59 PM

My last SAVE is filled.

The wolves, or what remains of them, have been chased far away from the inn.

Morinehtar and Romestamo, the two tall men, have left The Green Man.

Child of the 7th Age 06-03-2006 08:12 PM

My save is filled. The wolves have decided to head east. They are most distressed that the two-leggeds cheated by enlisting the aid of birds and beasts.

Tevildo 06-06-2006 05:48 PM

Save filled. :p

littlemanpoet 06-06-2006 06:15 PM

I guess my next post will be on the new Day, with Wenda and company returning to the Green Man. I can wait as long as you folks need me to before that happens.

Huan 06-07-2006 02:44 AM

I'm fine with moving forward to the new day, if everyone else is.

Undómë 06-07-2006 03:06 AM

Me, too! :D

~ U

Child of the 7th Age 06-07-2006 07:26 AM

Sounds good.

Tevildo 06-07-2006 10:59 PM

Tevildo the Cat is ready to move forward. Actually, the cat in the game is sound asleep and won't wake up till the next morning, so until you move I can't really post again for him!

piosenniel 06-07-2006 11:23 PM

Wren is ready to move forward . . . :)

~*~ Pio

Undómë 06-08-2006 01:53 AM

I put a SAVE up on the RPG thread. It will be just a time turner.

Night has passed; the new day dawns - that way any creature/person who wishes to be up and about in the morning can go ahead and post.

littlemanpoet 06-08-2006 09:09 AM

Wenda and friends will return to the Green Man about mid-morning, I'm thinking. Do you think it appropriate for a certain Ent to accompany them all the way back? I'd love to write it, but only if you folks think it fits.

Undómë 06-08-2006 01:49 PM

Old Goody would love to catch a glimpse of the Ent! :D

~ U

littlemanpoet 06-08-2006 08:33 PM

Old Greenbeard would be most intrigued with Old Goody, I think. Okay, I'll write it. She can decide if he qualifies as a "Green Man". :)

piosenniel 06-11-2006 01:28 AM

How about we move this game on to it's ending now. I'd like to see it wrapped up by the end of this month.

~*~ Pio

littlemanpoet 06-11-2006 05:52 AM

Fine with me. I could move this right to mid-morning if there are no objections.

Undómë 06-11-2006 10:11 AM

That's fine with Old Goody! :)

~ U

Tevildo 06-11-2006 10:07 PM

Tevildo has made the momentous decision to stay at the Inn for a space of time to enjoy the bowls of milk and assorted snacks as well as to tease the birds in the neighborhood. He is unlikely to post again in this game, as he is snoozing the day away in recuperating from his illness.

I have enjoyed writing with everyone, and hope I will have another chance to see you again.

littlemanpoet 06-12-2006 03:31 AM

I'll try to get a post up today.

littlemanpoet 06-14-2006 02:20 PM

I'm on vacation June 15 to June 20. My computer access will be limited.

Undómë 06-17-2006 03:29 AM

Old Goody is now done . . .

My apologies and thanks to Dylan Thomas for the borrowing of parts of his lovely poem.

NIce writing with you all!

~ U

Child of the 7th Age 06-22-2006 10:51 PM

I erased my save since it did not seem appropriate to have the animals trooping off in the midst of Goody's demise. I've placed my last post in box #174, appended to Tevildo's. The animals have departed.

Many thanks everyone for a fine story! And especially to Littlemanpoet....

Not sure I deserve the special mention, but thanks. :) I'm feeling a little unfinished with Wenda. I need something to resolve her situation; can't leave her in the throes of depression for the rest of her life. Even Frodo got to go West for healing.....
