well zifnab - it was gandalf, but he was talking about a one-man attack - the before mentioned in 2850 - it was actually because he called it an 'attack' that I posted the question, as I was rather puzzled by his choise of words, in his talks with Thorin ei. before the white counsils attack in 2941...
