Close, but not quite. Not Eldar because of the broadness it covers and not Morequendi or the other one I can't spell, because, well, I can't spell. Think a shorter name and another branch of Elves.
I can't believe I put Nandor twice, just overlook that. |
Do you mean Lindar?
You got it, Firondoiel! Your turn!
Thank you!

The Thains of the Shire:
you're missing Bucca of the Marish, Gorhendad Oldbuck, 10 unspecified Oldbucks, Fortinbras I and II, Ferumbras III, Isengrim I and 8 unspecified Tooks, likely including all the Is for which there are later IIs and IIIs . You are correct of course, Mistress Sophia.
Alright, this is tricky.
Helm's Deep, the Pelennor Fields... |
Well, I'll go for the obvious and say the hills before Morannon, the connection being that they are all the sites of battles depicted in LotR.
If that's not it, a hint perhaps? |
*bump* Trying to guess the riddle: - for what it's worth:
Expanding on Mr Saucepan's idea: ...the Cracks of Doom. (desperate situations when victory seemed futile, but which were saved by a miraculous turn of events)? |
I think I'll ask the next question
Boromir, Grima, Smeagol Hint: The next one is not from LOTR |
Frodo, Sauron, Beren, Maedhros.
Morgoth. Each one had a hand injured because they would not let go of a treasure...a silmarillion or the One Ring.
Sorry, Luthien, I'd forgotten about this thread! Morgoth is correct.
Ok...what (or in this case, who) is missing from this list and why?
Huan Eomer Grishnakh Meklor and all other evil Valar Merry Eowen |
Faramir? Because they all disobeyed someone about something?
I am absolutely drawing a blank concerning Faramir's disobeying someone. But that is the correct reasoning for my list. Beregond was the missing item on my list.
So, it your turn with my compliments :) Oh, duh...now I remember. When he allowed Frodo and Sam to go free..or am I mixing up the movie with the book??? I can't remember. |
yes i was thinking when he allowed frodo and sam to go free, although it's made more explicit in the movie it's also in the book. But yeah, I guess Beregond is the more obvious guess. I guess I too am being brainwashed by the movie
Anyway - here's the next: Tom Bombadil Aragorn Gandalf |
Would it be Elrond?
Galadriel? People to whom Frodo offered the ring?
nope. hint: it's not anything they did
Herm...the master, the king, the Maia, so, perhaps next would be a vala. Manwe?
No but you're on the right track...in a way.
Alrighty, I'll try the opposite track then. Eomer, because they all had lordship over something.
ups, I didn't mean it to be so hard to guess...
It's simple really. You're just on the wrong track.
Hint: the missing character is not from LOTR. |
If it's ascending in power, would the next one be Iluvatar?
nope.
No clue, but Morgoth?
Glorfindel?
Reasons?
Please folks, give reasons for your answers. Otherwise we could all just keep guessing Middle-earth characters until someone gets it. This is a game, not a character listing exercise.
no one guessed yet...
I guess this is partly my fault for being so vague...it could indeed be anyone and it has resorted to guessing.
Ok, a huge hint: Names. |
Now we all have elvish names
Herm...maybe Saruman because they all have multiple names and titles.
Right -o!
Another missing one from this list would be Turin, but Saruman is correct as well of course.
Cool. Herm...lemme see. Ah, got one.
Faramir Aragorn Eomer |
Theoden? They all are/were loved by Eowyn?
Good guess, but not what I was looking for.
Its like all the royalty, Aragorns a king, Eomer is a king(at the end of LOTR)and Faramir is the steward, your missing the prince of Merkwood, so Legolas?
i think eowyn
all these charactors were royalty and were orphaqns so Eomer's sister. |
maybe Gandalf? since then there would be two kings and two stewards.
are you there Arvedui II?
10 day rule! 10 day rule!
I think Ive got a good question for this, but it is my first time so it might be too easy: Thorin Kili Oin Balin Fili Who`s missing?? |
