In ROTK when Gimli says to Legolas, I never thought I'd die standing next to an elf, and Legolas replies how about a friend, Gimli was really thinking, a friend hu? i should go stand next to Aragorn instead...

In RotK, when Legolas cuts off the platform on the elephant and then kills the elephant:

Gimli: "That still only counts as one!!!"
