Many thanks for all the birthday greetings and wishes! I did have a very nice day - well, the whole long weekend, as a matter of fact, since Monday was a holiday. Gorgeous weather, pleasant hours at the beach, just enough guests to make it special, yet enough time without obligations to make it relaxing. I may have become a very silent member, but I still visit this lovely place on an almost weekly basis and in all honesty I do not think I could ever truly leave the Downs - once you're dead, you stay dead. Most of the time.
