Here we are.

"Wholesome, verily," said Aragonr. "And now, dame, if you love the Lord Faramir, run as quick as your tongue and get me kingsfoil, if there is a leaf in the City."

Aragorn to Ioreth in the chapter The Houses of Healing.

Galadriel55 01-28-2012 05:18 PM

Ah, that's where the "wholesome" came from! Good one, Foley. :)

Guinevere 01-29-2012 04:50 AM

Correct, of course.:) The thread is yours, Folwren.

Folwren 01-29-2012 09:24 PM

Btw I just notice that in the Hobbit, the Dwarves use contractions, whereas Gimli in the LotR never does!

Galadriel55 02-04-2012 10:35 AM

Wow, that was really quick! 4 Letters and you got it! And it's not a poem either! :)

Nice observation. Interesting.

Folwren 02-04-2012 11:05 AM

Well, done Guinevere! I needed just one more letter, and then I would've got it. I mean, how often does "Bless me!" turn up in Tolkien's work, anyway? :D

Guinevere 02-04-2012 12:01 PM

Thank you! "Bless me" was indeed a clue :D First I searched in the LotR, thinking it must be a hobbit speaking. What made me look in the right place, were all those questionmarks, and "song".

"----!" he cried "-----/! ----/ ---/ ------/ ---/ ------/. -/ -----/ ----/ ---/ --/ --/ ---/ -/ -------/ --/ --/ -----/."

Galadriel55 02-04-2012 12:12 PM

E's please.

It would be fun if for the next time I do the quote I found a line without a single E in it! :Merisu:

Folwren 02-04-2012 09:02 PM

S's

Fun, but hard.
