Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-17-2004 01:10 PM

Um, I don't know, Karl Urban?

paavo 01-17-2004 02:56 PM

Bernard Hill?

Eruwen 01-17-2004 05:30 PM

Alright then, I guess I'm going to go with a usual of mine and say Dominic Monaghan.

Samwise 01-17-2004 07:34 PM

No, none of them...

His character is....not a very nice guy, so to speak....

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-17-2004 07:47 PM

And all along we've been guessing "good guys". Well, Brad Dourif, then?

Gorwingel 01-17-2004 09:15 PM

Christopher Lee?

Everdawn 01-18-2004 05:33 AM

Anyone said Andy Serkis?

Samwise 01-18-2004 01:03 PM

No, neither of them, either....

The actors character had children--in the movie, that is.

Eruwen 01-18-2004 01:28 PM

Oooh, is it the guy that plays Denethor? John Noble, that's his name.

Samwise 01-18-2004 01:44 PM

And that would be the guy, Eruwen. Please proceed.

Eruwen 01-18-2004 02:03 PM

Cool. Ok, now I'm going to go and find a really hard one......be right back......

EDIT: Ok, I found it!!!!!! The new quote is......

Quote:

"It's like we're back in the Shire - Tolkien would have been proud!"
Try your best, everyone, and good luck!!!

Samwise 01-18-2004 02:19 PM

Hm..*think,think,think*

The cameo-esque Peter Jackson?

Eruwen 01-18-2004 02:31 PM

Nope, sorry. Try again!

The Perky Ent 01-18-2004 06:14 PM

Iam Holm?

Gorwingel 01-18-2004 06:25 PM

Sean Astin?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-18-2004 10:08 PM

Bret Mackensie, the ever-so-oddly-fangirlicized Figwit?

Samwise 01-18-2004 10:15 PM

Um...Dominic Monahagn?

Lyta_Underhill 01-18-2004 11:15 PM

Billy Boyd!

From the article: HOBBITS HIDE IN CUMBRIA
Published in The News and Star on 02/01/2003

Billy, who plays Pippin, said: "It's like we're back in the Shire - Tolkien would have been proud!"

Cheers!
Lyta

Eruwen 01-19-2004 06:49 PM

Congrats, Lyta, I guess you did some investigating. Lol. Yeah, it wasn't that hard, really, I just wanted to throw people to see what they would do. That was fun while it lasted. Your go, Lyta.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-19-2004 09:02 PM

Well, you did a good job, Eruwen. To think I guessed Bret Mackensie- it doesn't even make sense with the quote!

Lyta_Underhill 01-20-2004 01:04 PM

Sorry to be a little late on the comeback for another quote! I didn't have much time to look around, so it probably won't be very hard. Here goes!
Quote:

I've got my feet, got my wig, got my ears, got my dirt...I'm ready to go.
Cheers!
Lyta

Carlas 01-20-2004 02:12 PM

Dominic Monahagn?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-20-2004 02:34 PM

That would be Elijah Wood on the "Day in the Life of a Hobbit" special feature on disk two of the Appendices of the FOTR:EE DVDs. Go me. Sorry to show off a little there, but I had to prove that I knew exactly where the quote came from.

Lyta_Underhill 01-20-2004 05:42 PM

Elijah it is! Luthien, the turn is yours! ( Next time, maybe I'll have more time to sniff out a difficult one, but I had that one memorized, 'cause I like it!)

Cheers,
Lyta
P.S. I am a cheapskate and don't have a DVD player or any DVD's, but it is tacked on to the end of the 2nd VHS tape of FOTR:EE as well, and is the only one of those extra features I've seen.

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-21-2004 03:53 PM

Okay, now what quote to use? I'll have to refer back to my list of quotes to use.....

Here goes: a completely random remark...

Quote:

I love tea.

Samwise 01-21-2004 04:04 PM

Eh...?

Sir Ian Holm?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-21-2004 04:12 PM

Good guess, but no. You're on the right track, though.

Samwise 01-21-2004 04:15 PM

Uh......
Sir Ian McKellen?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-21-2004 07:14 PM

Nope, wrong right track.

Gorwingel 01-21-2004 09:27 PM

Well I guess I will guess...
Christopher Lee?

Is it one of the older guys?

Evisse the Blue 01-22-2004 06:09 AM

Is it one of the English guys? Dom maybe?

Daewen 01-22-2004 01:20 PM

Is it Billy?

Eruwen 01-22-2004 08:55 PM

How about Sean Astin?

Luthien_ Tinuviel 01-22-2004 09:05 PM

Evisse's got it. It's something only an Englishman would really say at random. Apparently Dom was drinking tea during the TTT commentary.....

Gorwingel 01-23-2004 12:20 AM

Gosh, I should have known that
Actually now I remember hearing it!
It does most definitely sound like some random thing that only Dom would actually think of saying.

Evisse the Blue 01-23-2004 09:23 AM

yes, Dom is the source of many random sayings

Ok - next quote: who, about whom:
Quote:

I'd rather kiss a horse.

Lyta_Underhill 01-23-2004 09:34 AM

Billy again! (That crazy hobbit is always amusing!)
Cheers!
Lyta
P.S Forgot to answer the second part: about Viggo, when asked what other parts he'd like to play...he said Arwen, 'cause she gets nice frocks and gets to lie down a lot...but he'd have to kiss Viggo, and ...you know the rest!

<font size=1 color=339966>[ 10:36 AM January 23, 2004: Message edited by: Lyta_Underhill ]

Evisse the Blue 01-23-2004 10:19 AM

Right again, Lyta! You sure know your hobbits!

Lyta_Underhill 01-23-2004 12:38 PM

Thanks, Evisse! Although, Luthien's quote was a doozy, hobbit or no! I say that myself sometimes, and I'm not even British! Now for a new one:
Quote:

...the older I get, the more certain I am of the presence of evil, and sometimes I -- no, that’s not true. I do believe in the existence of good -- manifest good.
Cheers!
Lyta

Samwise 01-23-2004 03:29 PM

As usual, no clue.

Ian McKellen?
