A pathetic guess
What about symestreem? Her avatar has black background adn the object in the middle of it is white like a sheep and the word "streem" resembles the word "sheep" (erm...) and she's the only one that I can think of that can be described as having a hole in the middle.

Hey, I refuse to believe that it's so hard.
|
The riddle has nothing to do with avatars. :)

But the clue makes me, for some reason, think of the phrase, 'a wolf in sheep's clothing', so... I'll guess at the Saucepan Man, due to his signature: "I used to be a Werewolf, but I'm better nowooooooooooooh!" |
No. It isn't that complicated.
|
Aargh! Somebody! Anybody! Free me from this eternal curse!
The answer's in the PT. |
High King Fingolfin?
his avatar of warg and drugs make me think of the outcast black sheep... but i'm wrong |
Yup, you are, though it was a good try. The answer is in the PT only.

Now what was that hole in the middle -business about?

Wow okay...
probably really easy... Away from her throne. |
Estelyn?

We could never do without her, she's such an elementary 'downer.
|
I am just trying to get the thread going again.
Mithlawen?
|
No...
The clue is in the word "elementary"... |
AbercrombieOfRohan because of the Downer Periodic table. But there have been others who have made one and I'm not sure if Abercrombie is female or not...
... Am I on the right lines at least? |

(And yes, I think Abercrombie is a female.) |
Come on, this is an old joke... anyone who's been around long enough should know it and newer members, especially thoise who know anything about science, have very good chances of guessing it...

Maybe ... Ka? Is Ka an element?
|
No, it isn't, but it is (I believe) the proper abbreviation for potassium, which is an element, so you're right. :D Please take the thread.
|
I may be close but I don't know. The only ones I can think of is Diamond18, which of course would be only another modification of carbon, but that is probably too far. Another one that I thought of is THE Ka, while K is the mark for... however you call that in English. But that's also quite overstretched, I think.
Otherwise, there is just Boron (88), but he's not a female :) Oh, shame. X-ed. But never mind, I will leave it here for the potential readers to have fun :D |
Nooo potassium is just K I think. But alright, I guess I'll take it!
Erm: A realtor by two different letters is still a realtor, isn't he? Um, I might mention that while that makes perfect sense to me, it might not to others! |
Bad luck, Legate. But you were right about it being K not Ka, my memory seems to be a bit crap. :D Anyway, this is the thread from which the joke bagan, if you or anyone else is interested.
edit: xed with K(ath) |
Errr... what about a hint? :D
|
Haha, took me 10 minutes to remember what the clue meant! Um, ok, hint - well the two different letters is the key part.
|
Alatar?
|
Oh thank goodness! That did make sense to someone else. :D Quite right morm.
|
As always, the biggest problem in getting these correct is thinking up the next clue.
Okay here it goes: This Downer is a fellow Cougar! |
Nimrodel_9.
|
Yes, I realized it would be easy but not that easy. Might I ask how you knew?
|
Magic. And she's from Utah.
Here's the next one: ala Johnny Appleseed If you're not familiar with American folklore and legends, you might need to do some research. |

Saucepan Man. :smokin: |
That's right!

Ok, I've got one:
