Auriel Haevasawen 06-04-2002 02:27 PM

Auriel: long, dark auburn hair. Sharp brown eyes. Blouse and skirt, working stance.

Scary but thanks for trying. Long hair (yes, very), auburn (no), sharp brown eyes (great but not me!), Blouse and skirt (I don't own a blouse), Working stance (not sure what you mean).

I am now very, very worried how I must come across via the net but appreciate being thought of, thanks dragongirl! I think you are probably young, about 15 and very bonny. You wear blue lipstick and listen to Limp Bizkit.

dragongirlG 06-05-2002 08:43 AM

Auriel, your description of me is very scary!

15--well, no, younger
very bonny--???
blue lipstick--don't even own it (hardly any nail polish either, I gave it all to my sister and I don't usually paint my nails unless I'm very, very bored)
listen to Limp Bizkit--well, when I was 10 I watched the music video on MTV...but otherwise, no

Most people's descriptions here are right about me, but Auriel, is that how I really come across?! Ahhh!

I think Gimli's aiming to be pushed down the chasm again!

John 15:13, that about sums it up. Good work Durelen. That was not a very nice thing to say Gimli.

*Sighs* Oy. This will soon turn into Gimli climbing up the stairs and pushing Durelen into the chasm. Didn't Amananduial say she was putting barriers on the bridge? This'll go on and on and on until she does *dons a construction helmet* I think I'll help speed it up...

gollum*elf*pup 06-06-2002 03:43 PM

gimli will probably continuously be pushed into deep chasms for the rest of his life! hee heee hee. well anyway, today, i feel and look like a dead evil monkey who can jump really high (i won high jump!!!) o boy, i'm so screwed.

Getting back to the topic...

piosenniel: a white flower. I don't know why. Your name just reminds me of a flower, that's all.

Amanduial: sporty girl with brown hair.

(Author's note: the odd looking device preceding this comment is commonly known as a "smiley" -- in this particular case, the one used for a joke or sarcastic comment -- please note that all jokes and sarcastic comments are NOT always accompanied by a smiley).

As you may have noticed, my post was accompined by a smiley, meaning that it was a sarcastic comment or joke.

Gimli Son Of Glóin falls to the bottom of the chasm. "I seem to be coming down here a lot", he says to himself. He then proceeds to hang curtains and clean things up with some Lysol. Now to settle the score. Gimli looks up. Hhmmm.... He yells at the constuctioon crew, who lower a rope to him. "Durelen!" *Gimli pushes Durelen into the chasm* "Don't muss up my curtains!"

Lothiriel Silmarien 06-06-2002 04:14 PM

Hey Gimli, mind if I give ya a tip? Don't spray too much windex and/or lysol in windowless rooms/chasms. It makes you lightheaded Learned that the hard way.....(common sense shoulda kicked in, although I think it wasn't working that day)

Samwise 06-06-2002 06:00 PM

Don't muss up my curtains...LOL...
Ahem. Just discovered this thread. WHOA. Sadly, since I've really not been able to formulate a picture of too many folks (medication+brain=brain dosen't work so well sometimes...)

Rose Cotton: Small, big eyes, always saying: "I wanna help!" like the little kids I work with.

Mister Frodo: (Eh, sorry, slipped into character) Frodo Baggins:...brown/ auburn hair, deep thinker, thoughtful smile.
(I do have her e-mail and we've corresponded, so she's never described herself to me, but this is the impression I get. Funny the two of us just 'clicked' on here. I've met other "Frodo's" that I never really connected with.

Mithidan: *I like his description at the beginning of the "infamous" party, so that's the way I think of him*: Also a deep thinker who feels things deeply, a square jaw and sharp grey eyes, yet a soft heart.

I've seen Joy and Rae's pics, so I can't say.

Samwise: dressed in boyish clothes, smiley and practical.
LOL!!!!! That's me!! Jeez...all you left out is that I'm near sighted...

Quote:

samwise -- also short and with hairy feet; I'm sure he and Frodo are really hobbits; after all Tolkien says there are a few around
LOL--why thank you! BTW, though, for those who don't know, I'm a she, too.

GreatWarg 06-06-2002 06:21 PM

NO ONE KNOWS WHAT I LOOK LIKE! *does the NO ONE KNOWS WHAT I LOOK LIKE jig*

I always imgined Mith like that piccy of him up sometimes. Hehe. And Kate is kind of like... erm... I don't know. But Barrow-Wight is definitely cat!!!!!!!

Galadrie1 06-06-2002 07:14 PM

GreatWarg, it's so obvious: you're a Warg! duh. though, i must admit, it would be really hard to type if u had paws.... hmmm, i'm going to have to think about that...

Gimli Son Of Gloin 06-06-2002 07:54 PM

GreatWarg, I've never thought of you as a wolf, but more as a big orc.

Nevtalathiel 06-07-2002 07:05 AM

No, a big grey, grizzled, warg who looks like he's been in a few too many fights, torn ears scratched nose, that sort of thing, but definately a Warg. And I always picture Manelwen as a wolf cos that was her pic for a while!

Sindacuion 06-07-2002 07:16 AM

Kate: The goddess of the the chatroom and the lady of the Downs.
Miriel: What can I say? Never has trouble finding a date, even though she has a loved one.
twinkle: The charmer of men and the chatroom babyface. (No offence twinkle, you said it yerself!)
Estelyn Telcontar: A fair princess with flowers on her hair from the house of Telcontar. Carries her name proudly.
goldwine: This lady's got some heat!

VanimaEdhel 06-07-2002 02:03 PM

Ack! I should have held off on the link to the icon that looks like me...I want to see what you guys thought I looked like, in real life. If you had any preconceptions before the picture that looks like me, just tell me!

Maikadilwen 06-07-2002 02:14 PM

Heh heh Nevfeniel, what a pic. So what you're actually saying is, that I'm the happy owner of the Barrow Wight??? I'm honoured, butZ

Samwise 08-08-2002 03:43 PM

Aw, Naz---you are NOT ugly, and you do NOT look like Harry Potter!!
Actually, (and I hope you don't take this as an insult, 'cause it's not meant to be)...I think you've got the eyes of a Hobbit....

"You do not understand!" said Pippin. "You must go--and therefore we must, too. Sam is an excellent fellow, and would jump down a dragon's throat to save you, if he did not trip over his own feet..... "

It was meant as a good thing, bein' a Hobbit fancier myself....

Never underestimate the power of sudden, brutal violence: it's such a good queller of malicious humour.

NazgulNumberTen 08-09-2002 05:11 PM

um, i'm weaker than a little girl.

The Squatter of Amon Rûdh 08-09-2002 05:58 PM

Use a cricket bat. From behind. Ah, the gentle crack of willow on bone...

NazgulNumberTen 08-09-2002 06:06 PM

im from the us. we think cricket is a little insect.

The Squatter of Amon Rûdh 08-09-2002 06:34 PM

I suppose that there have to be some countries where they don't play cricket: it keeps England from being beaten by the entire planet.

You could always use a baseball bat instead, although it's too redolent of street crime for my taste.

Lothiriel Silmarien 08-09-2002 06:52 PM

Squatter!!!! Such violence!!! Personally, I would rather use a hockey stick..
