The Might 12-02-2007 12:13 PM

Indeed, though it isn't really First Age, thought it would still be ok. :D

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-02-2007 04:20 PM

Okay, here's a new one.

Who was the first Man to come to the Great Sea?

The Might 12-02-2007 05:04 PM

Believe this was Tuor.

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-03-2007 02:39 AM

Indeed he was. (I think this one was pretty easy.) Thread is yours.

The Might 12-03-2007 08:36 AM

Who was cursed to lack a bow?

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-03-2007 09:52 AM

If I understood the question correctly, then it was Mim by Andróg.

The Might 12-03-2007 11:36 AM

How much do you really know exactly?
Bah, it's like you're a walking ME encyclopedia.

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-03-2007 11:55 AM

Well, particularly this answer is not showing much, as I did a WW game based on the story of Túrin half a year ago, so I obviously had to know that.

Anyway. What about this:

There was a certain diplomatic meeting where both sides brought more forces than they have agreed on. What was this occassion and which were the concerned sides?

Nerwen 12-04-2007 06:33 PM

It was just after the Dagor-nuin-Giliath, when Morgoth and the Noldor agreed to meet to discuss terms:

Quote:

each embassy came with greater force than was agreed; but Morgoth sent the more, and there were Balrogs.

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-05-2007 08:55 AM

Good job, Nerwen! Please, continue!

Nerwen 12-05-2007 10:24 PM

Who was the first of the Noldor to come to Menegroth?

Thinlómien 12-06-2007 07:12 AM

Angrod or Aegnor... Angrod or Aegnor...

Well, my guess is Angrod.

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-06-2007 07:14 AM

And wasn't it Galadriel, by chance? If she wasn't there earlier...

I'm not that good in Silm. :)

Nerwen 12-06-2007 08:05 AM

Thinlómien has it.

Please take the thread, Lommy.

Thinlómien 12-06-2007 08:12 AM

Mwahahaa...... :D

Ahem, yes, the next question:

How many companions did Barahir have?

Nerwen 12-06-2007 08:23 AM

Twelve.

Thinlómien 12-06-2007 08:24 AM

Why, of course. :) The thread is yours.

*reminder to self: never make "how many"-questions when Nerwen's around* ;)

Nerwen 12-06-2007 08:42 AM

What was Ard-galen called after the Dagor Bragollach?

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-06-2007 03:33 PM

Sorry, but no one responded before I appeared :) Anfauglith.

Nerwen 12-06-2007 07:38 PM

Yes. All yours, Legate.:)

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-07-2007 07:36 AM

Who died while trying to save his father's body from being massacred by the Orcs?

Nerwen 12-07-2007 08:14 AM

Haldar.

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-07-2007 08:29 AM

 Correct. Please continue.

Did you know that just from your head? I.e. without looking to the books?

Nerwen 12-07-2007 09:34 AM

No. I knew it was Haleth's brother, but I wasn't sure of his name. I had to cheat a bit.

Okay, where did Barahir rescue Finrod?

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-07-2007 10:07 AM

That's admirable nevertheless. You should definitely go for next Trivia match, if there will be any.

Was it in the swamps of Serech?

Nerwen 12-07-2007 10:18 AM

Yes, it was.

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-07-2007 10:25 AM

What was always shining with blue light?

Nerwen 12-07-2007 10:46 AM

Hmmn. That's tricky.

Is it Luinil?

I can't think of anything else.

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-07-2007 10:50 AM

No, I am thinking about an object, an item.

Nerwen 12-07-2007 10:55 AM

*scratches head*

One of those lamps Fëanor made?

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-07-2007 11:17 AM

Yes, indeed. The so-called "fëanorian lamp" or "Noldo-lantern". There were more of them. Please continue the thread.

Nerwen 12-07-2007 09:38 PM

Where did Elenwë die?

Rune Son of Bjarne 12-08-2007 07:22 AM

I belive she died at the corssing of Helcaraxë

Nerwen 12-08-2007 07:30 AM

She did indeed.

Thread's yours.

Rune Son of Bjarne 12-08-2007 07:48 AM

YAY. . .oh damn that means I have to think of a question. . .

ok I think I got it.

Who accompanied Fingolfin to the gates of Angband?

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-08-2007 07:56 AM

As far as I know, only his horse, Rochallor.

Nerwen 12-08-2007 07:58 AM

No-one (apart from his horse).

Rune Son of Bjarne 12-08-2007 09:12 AM

Rochallor it is!

you take over Legate

Legate of Amon Lanc 12-08-2007 09:35 AM

Okay.

The Might 12-08-2007 09:53 AM

Ah yes, no need to look this one up, as it's Ingwe.
