I'm totally going to buy bananas before I meet Hookie in a couple of weeks.

Blind Guardian 12-23-2011 12:44 AM

Ummm...no offense, but are we still doing this?

Oddwen 12-23-2011 12:54 AM

Yes we are. There was a delay for a while that was completely my fault, but we're going again now.

Hookbill the Goomba 01-12-2012 12:00 PM

Hey, Oddy. Old Oddykins. Old Oddy McOdily Odd!

*cough*

How's the game doing?

Oddwen 01-12-2012 10:34 PM

We're a little sticky but we're not stuck. Like if you get chocolate on your fingers and try to lick it off, but there's always that little bit between your fingers you can't quite lick clean, and you're not near a sink so you can't wash your hands so your fingers stick together a little bit, but they still taste like chocolate so you still keep licking them, so they stay nice and damp and sticky and sweet, and you don't really mind even if you're licking sand or hair because hey...it's still tasty. That's where we are right now. All of us.

Rune Son of Bjarne 01-13-2012 04:52 AM

I am not that fond of chocolate.

Oddwen 01-13-2012 07:43 PM

Well I'm not that fond of fingers.

Oddwen 01-28-2012 04:02 PM

Funny thing. If you poke a dead thing hard enough and often enough, it moves!

You guys are mad. Big time mad. I'm also mad. Bigger time mad.

(you can probably tell )

(and I never expected less! :D)

Poor TGEW.

Gonna do that picture tomorrow.

That didn't prevent you from not making delicious stew.

Blind Guardian 02-05-2012 10:54 PM

Mmm, Dead People Stew. Who's up for fourth meal?!

Oddwen 02-09-2012 08:59 PM

We're about three quarters through!

Hopefully Legate won't take too long with his sentence after he finishes......whatever he's doing.

There's probably a cake in front of Legate - a really tasty-looking one. And he wants to eat it very much. :p

Thinlómien 02-21-2012 06:27 AM

I'm sorry I've been a little slow with my turn, but I'll get it done tomorrow (my kind of day off) so it'll be less than a week anyway... But we're very close to the end, which is cool.

ps. Oddwen that picture is... disturbing. (I like the one with Hookbill and the Wereduckling a lot better! ;))

Eönwë 02-29-2012 01:59 PM

We're finally nearing the end now! :D

Thinlómien 02-29-2012 03:08 PM

Yes, it took me 1,5 weeks to do my picture, although in the end the drawing and photographing took at most 20 minutes together. I'm sorry I suck. Anyway, there's only one more picture and one more picture to go, so even by pessimistic estimate we should be done in two weeks...? Yay! :D

Rune Son of Bjarne 03-01-2012 01:33 PM

I was on holiday in England when I had to write...(so it took me a bit longer than what I had hoped)

When there are this many playing, I guess we just have to accept that people will get delayed. Perhaps with smaller numbers one can enforce a certain amount of discipline. . .

Oddwen 03-08-2012 01:40 PM

Once upon a time, a ridiculous pixie named Aganzir was reading The Silmarillion. Somewhere near the passage that goes

Quote:

Many times Morgoth essayed to smite him, and each time Fingolfin leaped away, as lightning shoots from under a dark cloud.
she was inspired to draw this picturediculous image.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...ONE/img004.jpg

Suddenly, a wild Sally appeared! Quoth the Sally:

Quote:

"Not now," said the Witch King as No Man stepped up to him, "I'm trying to ride my pony."
Only this, and nothing more.

A travelling Beregond, who was at that moment tapping, gently rapping at the chamber door, found that he had scratched this picture into the fresh green paint.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...onegameONE.jpg

Upon seeing the image in the round green door, Galadriel55 was unable to keep herself from bursting in and screaming

Quote:

A monument shows the Witch-King, sitting on a pony, rejecting Eowyn who is challenging him with sword in hand.
and then demanded seed cakes and cold pork.

The bust of TheGreatElvenWarrior on its stand wept tears of ink, leaving a stain on the floor that greatly resembled this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...gewgameone.jpg

Pitchwife saw the omen, and lifted up his voice and wailed

Quote:

The Witch-King's heart was broken when the bass-player of Sisterhood, dressed as a knight, refused to dance with him at the carnival.

Oddwen 03-08-2012 01:41 PM

Legate, who had just stepped out of the elevator, was so surprised he spilled pancake batter all over himself. At least it gave the laundryboys something to do. Why he had pancake batter at all was a mystery, but doubtless it had something to do with the shape of one of the pancakes made from the salvaged batter:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...eonelegate.jpg

Hookbill the Goomba, head of the "Every Day Is Pancake Day" club, promptly changed the manifesto of the club to:

Quote:

SkipSpence was not entirely impressed with the Witch King's idea for a pancake-dance-party while they were still trapped in the terrifying and soul destroying bowels of rainbow hell with the phantom of the opera and his tiny minions.
As he carved it into the face of a nearby cliff, a Rune came to life and stole his chisel. And his banana. Rune took the banana and beat Hooky to death, and then carved this into his tombstone

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...ameonerune.jpg

The penguin known as Thinlomien witnessed the whole thing. Realizing she was sitting on a gold mine, she grabbed her newspaper, cut out words and mailed this blackmail note.

Quote:

Sam Gamgee becoming the Ring Lord had unexpected consequences, especially for the Witch-King and the Gay Pride movement
Little did she realize she was sitting on a actual gold mine at the time and could have made her fortune without resorting to questionable and illegal methods.

Eonwe saw her drop the blackmail note, and in his report to the police he drew this incriminating portrait:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...E/pt1eonwe.png

On this evidence, the police arrested Blind Guardian. They were forced to let her go after she revealed her airtight alibi of:

Quote:

Samwise steals the Nazgul's pride and makes them fight for a new cause

Oddwen 03-08-2012 01:42 PM

If only they had asked her whereabouts on the preceding Thursday. Then they would have found that her ever loveable partner in crime Gil-Galad was painting a certain image all over the city.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...-Tele-2011.png

While shopping for green paint to repaing her door, Aganzir happened to see the nasty graffiti on the wall of the paint shop. The Newspaper interview was published that same evening, and misquoted her as saying:

Quote:

Unlike the lions, the Ringwraith doesn't want to eat Bilbo Baggins.
And instead of the usual Phantom and Alien comic strip, a political cartoon drawn by Sally was run in its place.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...meonesally.jpg

Beregond was immediately fired, even though he insisted he had never worked there in the first place. He protested

Quote:

Lions drool, but the Wraith isn't impressed as Frodo stews over being caught in a compromising position.
Galadriel55 wrote exactly 55 identical letters to the editor. If the editor had bothered to put them together like the puzzle they were intended to be, they would have formed a mysterious image which looked like this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...ONE/g55pt1.jpg

He didn't, however. So it was up to Professional Dumpster Diver TheGreatElvenWarrior to figure it out. Upon realizing the threat to humanity, she was heard to shriek

Quote:

Three salivating lions are divided by Frodo and the Witch King minus the Ring.

Oddwen 03-08-2012 01:42 PM

Amateur Dumpster Diver Pitchwife was jealous of her discovery, and cleverly switched her picture with one he drew hastily on the back of a menu from Chateau d'Mordor:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...Game1pitch.jpg

Legate mistook the image for a legitimate menu, and attempted to order it at the restaurant.

Quote:

The fact that the Lannisters started crossbreeding with piglets led Frodo and the Witch-King into an unlikely hippie alliance.
he demanded of the goblin waiter. He was served numerous dishes of random and disgusting things, and each time he sent them back, demanding his original order in increasingly frantic bellows.

Nearby diner Hookbill the Goomba couldn't help overhear, and doodled this image on the tablecloth with his crayons.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...elephonios.png

Rune had been banned from the fine restaurant long ago for crimes against fashion, but from his vantage point at the window where he stood every afternoon from 2:16 until 4:01, he could see the picture Hooky was drawing. He was heard by everyone to mutter

Quote:

An unholy alliance, led by the Witch King, is taken by surprise by the most unlikely of enemies
Thinlomien heard his muttering and was afraid. Had she been found out? Quickly, she hid her ill-gotten wealth and drew this map so she could find her way back to it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...E/Kuva0023.jpg

Eonwe immediately stole the map. He followed it for miles, ignoring the feeling that someone was following him. Years later, his body was found deep in the amazon jungle, and this was the last entry in his journal:

Quote:

The Witch-King, Eowyn and Gimli know they've had too many of Farmer Maggot's mushrooms when they unexpectedly meet a certain famous pineapple-dwelling sponge.

Oddwen 03-08-2012 01:46 PM

Famed artist Blind Guardian drew this touching picture of the morbid scene, which became the most iconic image of the 28th century:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...DSCF3789-1.jpg

It was a triumph of epic proportions, and the robot known as Gil-Galad could finally feel love. His first words to his beloved were:

Quote:

Gimli and Galadriel soon regret their plan in giving the Witch King mushrooms, as the one weapon to destroy Sauron materializes before them in the form of Spongebob Squarepants the Terrible.

The End......?

Ahahaha (I seriously burst out laughing)! That's the best thing anyone could have written of my picture! Yes, I know Grond looks like a hobby horse.

And Beregond's picture goes with it perfectly! I love the Witch-King's distracted expression!

Pitchwife seriously! Sisterhood? :D I bet the band would approve if they knew of their cult following among us moldering wights.

Legate, who's that phantom guy?

I'm chuckling at Rune's picture and Lommy's interpretation of it. And Eönwë! Hahaha that's fantastic!

Hahaha!

Pitch, that's cruel treatment of beautiful animals!

Lommy, your picture is horrible! :D No, I didn't expect Spongebob Squarepants. He cracked me up. He looks wicked!

Yeah, what can I say? This was a fantastic round. Thank you Horacewen, and everyone who participated!

Galadriel55 03-08-2012 02:45 PM

O. M. G. Woooohooooooooooooooooo!

This is the funniest thing I've seen in a week!

Agan and Beregond, your pictures are amazing.

Sally: I echo Agan. That sentence was hilarious.

Hooky: No wonder Rune wanted to beat you with a banana.

TGEW: I never thought that the line separating the lions from the rest would be interpreted as division! But I guess it's more fun this way.

Pitchie:

Legate: just the time to bring in some Lannisters. :D I approve. ^^

Lommy: Sponge Bob?!

Eonwe: Mushrooms?!

Great one, everybody! :D

Hookbill the Goomba 03-08-2012 03:05 PM

It's going to take me a while to digest all of this through my eyes. :D

Favourites on first reading;
Aganzir's drawing was AMAZING!!
Sally's sentence also cracked me up.
Thinlomien's picture floored me!!
Eonwe's fell beast was pretty awe inspiring!
Pitchwife is a genius, as well.

Gil-Galad 03-09-2012 12:27 AM

This made me chuckle quite heartily.

Rune Son of Bjarne 03-09-2012 01:26 AM

I was so confused by Hooky's picture, I couldn't figure out what John Lennon were doing with the Witch-king, Alien and Mutant-pig.

Blind Guardian 03-09-2012 11:54 AM

Good PT everyone!

Rune Son of Bjarne 03-11-2012 05:45 AM

I absolutely loved Sally's interpretation of Aganzir's picture. While the picture was very nicely done (like always), it was also very weird...unintentionally I presume.

I really loved Bergond's drawing, quite distinctive style and such.

Gil-Galad's interpretation of the whole "pride" thing made me chuckle, love that stuff.

Lastly I was really happy to see Spongebob make an appearance.

Rikae 03-12-2012 06:25 AM

Haha, love it - especially the lion math... :D

I'd like to take this opportunity to say: it's been way too long since I've played this game, so whenever you guys start the next one please sign me up! Kthxbye.

Doodling away in the uni library: "And now Morgoth's mace... how about some spikes? Oh great, it looks like a hobby horse now. Heh heh. No can do."
Assuming that's what you found weird about it, of course, because if it was something else, then it was so unintential I don't see it even now. ;)

Next round:

Sign me up for the next one, please. Also - pony? Sisterhood? Divided lions? Sponge Bob??? :D:D

Exactly my thoughts! (We looked the round through together on Saturday evening)

So I'm not willing to miss a round of this another time... and you're all crazy. Like I think we all are, some more, some less (where more is the better). :D

The "divided lions" turning into Sponge-Bob via the Lannisters was just... well, as weird the PT can produce. :)

Ah, I actually never saw it as this stick-horse. Now I finally understand where did this pony thing came from. I thought it was just some joke about the way he bends his legs, because it looks as if he was riding an invisible pony. Or trying it "theoretically" how it is to ride one, you know.

Anyway, most splendid round. Could I join the following one as well? :)

Oddwen 03-12-2012 09:39 PM

Excellent round everyone! :D

I'd be willing to mod again if nobody else wants to.

Otherwise I'll definitely join.
