Hehe. I can't remember whether this was before or after I saw the Bakshi animated film. I think that the impression that I was going for was the brainless warrior type. The hand on Frodo's shoulder is, of course, significant.


The ravages of time have taken their toll on the picture (not to mention the artist :( ).


If you call reading a lot of fantasy literature, playing a lot of fantasy role-playing games and drawing a lot of pictures inspired by the two of them interesting, then perhaps I was. Although I recall that many of my classmates took a different view ... :rolleyes:

I have a feeling that this one was inspired more by Bored of the Rings than LotR, although it is a similarly long time since I have read that book.

I like the childhood study of Treebeard, Sapphire_Flame. :cool:
