all of those are wrong! It is not a tangible thing...
|
hatred?
|
A hint?
|
A hint?
That doesn't sound like the right answer to me. (just kidding) Yes, how about a hint? |
Evil?
|
Evil is very close! go along those lines... as far as a clue, it isnt something tangible
|
*bumping to the top*

I have two... either:
lust of power Men are ensnared- by the possibility of having power kingdoms are destroyed-because others want power over them plans are ruined- because those who had the power to make plans are enslaved love is broken- because people go out to get powerfull rather than stay with those they love wars are fought-to overthrow counties The wielder of the weapon escapes without harm...-because he now rules or.... a ring of power(especially one of the nine) correct? (I donīt think so, to be honest) |
Manardariel, lust of power is correct-your turn.
|
Here's a pretty thing:
I am diamonds and emeralds lost by the Moon. I am found by the Sun and picked up soon. |
What?? I was RIGHT?? *stares at PC utterly stunned*
Anyway, Susan, is yours dewdrops? Mine: Looking afar through time only one can call me "Mine" What am I? |
The Mirror of Galadriel or a palantir...
|
Yup, the mirror!
|
Can I post one now?
Millions of black ants: The army marches forward in thousands of platoons; In six brigades; In three divisions; All towards the One. |
I've heard this one: millions of letters, in six books, in 3 volumes, all towards: LotR!

Yes, your right. I guess that one was a bit obvious but I had to put it there.
|
Do I have to think of one now?
|
Manadariel got mine right too.
|
Oh goody. Galenfea, it would be nice if you posted one, but you donīt have too- itīs not quiz room.
Gotta new one: More powerful than Mountains More true than every word and greatly youīll desire what with them you saw and heard |
love?
|
Palentir? *lost and confused*
|
i will also say palantir...
here's my riddle... When perils calls it allows escape when battle horns sound it steadies your sword blows when a horse runs free it lets you tame it when doom is upon you it keeps you from running what is it? |
*bumping to the top*
|
For your riddle, Warbringer, my answer is either valor, honor, or humility. All could very easily be wrong.
|
courage?
(or perhaps drugs?) |
My guess to warbringers riddle is: Prudence/calm
Honorable man escapes not, even when wise would. Calm swordarm strikes truer then enraged one. Man of passion could not tame a horse for lack of patience to the animals wildness. Coward escapes when rational man knows the best chances lie in facing the danger rather then exposing ones back to it. |
If you want more riddles, you may find some in this thread.
|
Yall didnīt get mine.. wanna hint?
|
I guess I'll take the plate and say... Sure! That'd be great
|
ok.... itīs not exactly LotR relared... and with "more true" I mean they tell you more about a person than they will probably tell you... and they also tell you more about yourself than you might have known...
better? |
for Manardariel's:
actions? |
Nah....
|
dreams?
|
YES!!
Good job, Tigerlilly |
OK, so here I go again.... ummm, let's see...
Glowing like a star so bright Love and tenderness do I show In the darkness of the night I bring you memories of what you know The light itself could fade very soon But now is rest and forgotten is doom |
Hope?
|
Nope, but that is kinda a part of it.
|
Luthien? maybe Galadriel?
|
Umm... A rather strange guess, but I'd say Earendil, with the Silmaril? (A.K.A the North or evening star)
Glowing like a star so bright Well, he became a star, and the Silmaril shines, so maybe that could work. Love and tenderness do I show Umm... Earendil is the most beloved star... or something. In the darkness of the night That one's easy. I bring you memories of what you know Everyone on the board ought to the story of Earendil, and when I look at the North star, sometimes I think about Bilbo's song. Maybe that's just me. The light itself could fade very soon The evening star is the first one to disappear at dawn But now is rest and forgotten is doom It shows up at night. When you rest. And when he rests, he forgets his doom, which is to be the star. Ok. Maybe that's pretty tenous. I like it anyway. |
You are both getting very, very warm.
