I'm have ing the same problem and the different timeszones aren't helping

Are there any other brits out there???

Stryker Stormeye 05-03-2003 08:28 PM

I'm not going to be on for the next 8-12 hours cause I'm going to bed, then I'll be busy when I wake up.

You can use my character, but don't kill him or get him drunk.

Getting him drunk would be a bad thing... I wouldn't know what to do with him when I came back!

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 05-03-2003 08:28 PM

Oi, vey... you're up late! All the brits I know are dozing on couches in corners with drool dripping out the corners of their mouths. Pity I'm curled up with one, I'd come out and dance... *sighs*

Sophia

elven maiden Earwen 05-03-2003 08:30 PM

I'm getting off but I might get on in a hour or two. Do whatever you want to my charecter, cept kill her(yes she can get drunk) well byby

Party Queries 2

Diamond, who did Walk—Don't Run?

And, Iarwain, I am still curious to know more of this Johnny Appleseed character you likened me to.

Yup. This Party is playing havoc with my sleep patterns (not to mention my pans).

'Twas "The Ventures". (They have quite distinct drum solos in their songs). Quite groovy.

I'll be off now, nice that we actually were on at the same time for a little bit.

Iarwain 05-03-2003 10:04 PM

Saucepan, I can't believe you've never heard the legend of johnny appleseed! It's a traditional american folktale. This boy who walks around with a pan on his head is sitting at the foot of an apple tree, when an apple falls and hits his pan. He picks it up and decides to plant the seeds. From there, he goes across the country planting apple seeds wherever he goes. This is what the previous generatons did to account for the existence of apple trees all over the country. I've always loved the story, especially since it's based on reality: a real person did something very similiar, though I forget his name...

Ahh!!! attack of the deathly white page. And we have reached the magical page 20.

I have to say though, that was very quick. 20 pages in 3 days. It's funny after posting I leave it for about 5 minutes then press refresh and read the 2 new posts that have appeared, then wait another 5mins and do it again.

Manardariel 05-04-2003 03:01 AM

EVERYBODY KAREOKE!!!!!

I´m sorry, I couldn´t resist. After macarena and limbo....

Oddwen 05-04-2003 04:40 AM

Johnny Chapman (aka Appleseed) was a man who traveled the country with a bag of apple seeds and planted them. Many orchards now owe their prosperity to this, I believe.

Laiquendi 05-04-2003 05:44 AM

Okay i don't know anyone here, but i have to go, i'll probably be on later - for anyone interested ie, no-one. Feel free to call back my character at any time.

Yes, a few of us......the time difference is a bit of a drag. I'm not posting much but I really enjoy reading everyone else's stuff!
I had to keep reminding myself to not laugh out loud (at 3a.m this morning) so as not to wake my entire family

I'll look out for you next time I'm on Nerindel.....

Yes I am one, and the time difference is very annoying, I came back after a good nights sleep to find the party had 10 pages added to it...*groan*

Yep, the time difference is driving me insane, because while I'm asleep it's evening in America and I wake up and see about another 5 pages of posts to slowly read through. Ah well, such is life.

Yep...I have gotten desperate, so I now have my character disappear in a cloud of green smoke whenever I get off line. You could try it...

elven maiden Earwen 05-04-2003 10:27 AM

Hmmm Lady Eärwen is going to do KAREOKE but she doesn't know what song to sing. Can you help her?

Sophia the Thunder Mistress 05-04-2003 10:32 AM

Sing something from the GREASE soundtrack Earwen!

elven maiden Earwen 05-04-2003 10:52 AM

I don't understand what all this talk about 20 pages is about. I've seen threads go over before — there was a topic in the Quiz Room that went for 33 pages before B-W manually closed it because it was getting insipid.

Niluial 05-04-2003 11:11 AM

It cant rain!! Ahhh.. Don and I are in a forest.. my dress.. MY HAIR!! *sniff..snif* Actually to think of it.. it would be more romantic.. but still! Wow, I went a day and 15 more pages were up and I'll never have the time to read it all, guess I'm done posting on there!

elven maiden Earwen 05-04-2003 03:39 PM

You people actually read every post. I just skim though them but if ones interesting I read the whole thing.

But 15 pages would kill my computer I will perhaps come back when the awards begin in the unlikely event I may win one...

Heehee
I read every single post but I was sick last week so I had a lot of time on my hands...

My grades are going down drastically because of my Downs time. As is the percentage of homework I actually hand in.

Yes, I stay up really late in hopes that I'll be able to get up at night and go onto the computer and check what else has been posted... it rarely works, as it seems my mother has wondeful hearing even while asleep, but hey, I try! And then because I stay up late I end up not being able to go to school and have a terrible headache. But if it gives me acess to the Downs, I'll do it all!

Eruanna 05-04-2003 06:21 PM

Laiquendi I hope you don't mind, but I've engaged your character Lalaith in conversation. She and Eruanna (another lady Elf) are currently having a gossip and watching the party.
