The festival (with bunnies) is Easter.
The animal food thing is Straw Heads. Deep underground I lie. Some question whether or not I can fly. I was someone's bane. Can you give my name? (Ok, not very good poetry) |
Deep underground I lie.-
He lived underground untill be was awoken by dwarves mining for Mithril Some question whether or not I can fly.- the long debate of whether balrogs havve wings or not. I was someone's bane.- Durin's Bane Can you give my name?- A balrog |
Correct.
Ok this is probely very easy.
Messenger I am I came to-and fro from Angband Form was robbed from me Unknown are the origins of thee |

*bump*
The King of the Dead Men of Dunharrow?
Noone has said it yet. Well, actually, I don't remember the answer to the riddle right now, but I know none of those are it. I'll give a clue after a few more guesses.
An Ice-Man from the wastes of the north?
*sigh* I'm just going to give this one up to anyone who wants to go, as I can't answer my own riddle. =P
Free Thread. |
i'l ltake it then
on a bookmark i am noticed as a lizard, a foul creature, but when i realize my wrongs, smoke goes west then east then gone! who am i |
Err, Smaug? (Thinking 'evil lizard'; realising wrongs at death, which is why it 'went away')
nope
It's Saruman. The bookmark has a little lizard motif-thing on it.
yoru getting closer
Oh, so then do you mean Wormtongue?
umm explain please
Well, I'm assuming that the Wormtongue bookmark has the little lizard thing on it. When Wormtongue considers leaving Saruman, Saruman reminds him and tells all the hobbits gathered around that Wormtongue killed Lotho, even though Grima denies it at first. It is at this time that he "realizes his wrong". He kills Saruman, and the grey mist that rises from Saruman's body "turns West then East then gone".
good and remember when anwsering a question, don't just say words, things etc. you ahev too explain them
Okay, I'll remember that. Next one:
In life I flew from here to there, A messenger of great despair. Little is known of my demise, But after death I became a disguise. Flitting secretly to and fro, I was a thing of ghastly shadow. This one is rather cryptic. Good luck! |
It is Thuringwethil. She was a messenger of Morgoth, and she was killed by Luthien and her bat-hame was used by the latter to get into Angband.
Yes, Finwe, you're correct. I realized after I posted the question that Thuringwethil had been used already, but I decided to leave it. So now it's your turn...
What animal walked that had actually died before?
Draugluin.
He was a wolf servant of Sauron, and after he was slain by Huan, Beren used his pelt as a disguise. |
Good one! Your go.
thanks
It took me a while to come up with something, and I'm afraid this will be terribly easy and childish, I'm so sorry Don't look too closely at the first of its kind 'cause before you know it you are turning blind Surely the greatest not able to fly along came a downer who caused him to die. |
Glaurung?
Glaurung it is
your turn |
Eyes of this kind,
Can sometimes enchant. Not sure of all, But one definitely so. Some traverse, the airy paths, Some traverse, the earthen paths, What are these slippery, slimy, not slippery, not slimy, All together, very not likeables, creatures? Now try to get that! |
soem reason, i think Shelob
Nope. Wrong race of evil creatures.
Dragons?
werewolves? or wolves basicaly
Voralphion got it.
This isn't that good but:
I was lord of a host, or was it just three I killed two of the kings that came over the sea In Gondolin's fall I met my fate Where I was killed by an elf lord with all of his hate. |
The obvious answer regarding the last part would be Gothmog, the Uruloki; I'm not entirely sure what you mean about kings though... Sauron killed two kings, but the rest of it doesn't fit him.
The correct answer is Gothmog you are right Gwaihir. The first line was supposed to refer to the original host of balrogs, that was reduced to just seven or three. The line about the kings was the two high kings of the Noldor that Gothmog killed, Feanor and Fingon. I'm sorry the clue wasn't very good.
