Tsk, tsk, Niere
Why don't we just wait for people to be stumped?

Niere-Teleliniel 05-22-2002 09:46 AM

Siiiiiiigh...All right!

(BTW, congrats on being shady! It gives one a feeling of superiority )

Susan Delgado 05-22-2002 11:18 PM

And to you as well!
::bows all around::

Any guesses out there?

Lady_Báin 05-23-2002 05:21 AM

just a teeny hint please that is the most vague riddle i've heard

Susan Delgado 05-23-2002 11:54 AM

Ok...it's an object, and has to do with the keeping of time

Bragolandune 05-24-2002 09:51 AM

Is it an hourglass?

Susan Delgado 05-24-2002 10:48 AM

You got it!

Tigerlily Gamgee 05-25-2002 01:10 PM

Wow, sorry everyone, I've been away for a while. When I moved the server really screwed me up. I couldn't sign on for a long time, but it's great to be back.
I am ready to start riddling again!!!!

Here's a lame riddle:

I come from a living thing
Though I am no longer alive
I help bring your visions to life

Kettle of fish 05-26-2002 07:46 AM

Here is my favourtie one of all time.

Five hundred begins it,
five hundred ends it,
Five in the middle is seen;
First of all letters,
the first of all figures,
Take up their stations between.
Join all together,
and then you will bring
Before you the name of an eminent king.

Lady_Báin 05-27-2002 04:33 AM

an hour glass i would have never guessed (obviously me not so clever ) this probably way off but tigerlily is yours blood ?? (ach that dosen't even make sense i totally suck at this eh... oh well)

A cold one?

piosenniel 05-27-2002 12:12 PM

Kettle of Fish

Would that be DAVID?

piosenniel 05-27-2002 12:15 PM

Tigerlily Gamgee

Is it a book?

Tigerlily Gamgee 05-28-2002 10:59 AM

The answer to mine is none of what has been listed so far... but I think that "book" may be the closest.

Tigerlily Gamgee 05-29-2002 01:46 PM

Hullo? Anyone still around this thread?

Bragolandune 05-29-2002 07:07 PM

is it paper?

Kettle of fish 05-29-2002 09:59 PM

Piosenniel,

I bow before your great intelligence. (Well, I would, if doing so wouldn't cause me to hit my head on the computer moniter)

Lady_Báin 05-30-2002 06:19 AM

tigerlily is bragoladune's guess right? or could it be a story?

Tigerlily Gamgee 05-30-2002 09:47 PM

It is niether paper nor story, but it is related to both...
hint: paper usually starts out blank

Susan Delgado 05-31-2002 01:38 AM

Is it writing?

Tigerlily Gamgee 05-31-2002 06:32 PM

Susan... you are burning hot, you are soooo close!

Alchrivëwen 05-31-2002 06:41 PM

hmmm it is neither paper nor story but related to both

Tigerlily Gamgee 05-31-2002 06:57 PM

It is neither paper nor story, it is related to both, and writing is soooo close.
All of these are circling the answer.

Geez, I just came up with this one while sitting at the computer and I saw an object near by... I thought, OK, that's a riddle. I didn't think it would stump so many people.

Bragolandune 06-01-2002 10:13 AM

is it a type writer? or a keyboard maybe..

Gimli Son Of Gloin 06-01-2002 11:24 AM

BOOKS!!!!!
Actually I still think my original idea is correct; a cold one.

Susan Delgado 06-01-2002 12:45 PM

Is it a pencil?

Tigerlily Gamgee 06-01-2002 09:22 PM

Yes, it is a pencil, Susan!!!! YAY!
It's kinda funny because I just wrote that riddle in 2 seconds when I saw a pencil sitting next to the keyboard on the desk. I didn't even think it was a good riddle. I just thought, "Gee, I haven't posted a riddle in a while, perhaps I should."

Frodo Baggins 06-05-2002 10:03 PM

that's a good one tigerlily

Gimli Son Of Gloin 06-06-2002 04:12 PM

Most are Liers,
Most are Boneheads,
Most are Jerks,
Yet still respected.

This one is kind of funny.

piosenniel 06-06-2002 04:15 PM

Gimli - please don't let the answer be Forum Administrators!!!!!!!

Tigerlily Gamgee 06-06-2002 10:13 PM

Thank you very much, Mr.Frodo!

Gimli - is the answer to yours "lawyers"

Gimli Son Of Gloin 06-06-2002 11:15 PM

Piosenniel, I have to admit that wasn't what I had in mind, but I guess it fits

Tigerlily, you got it right. If you had said polititions that also would have been correct.

Tigerlily Gamgee 06-07-2002 11:26 PM

Wow, it really was lawyers! That's funny!

I was just wondering how many riddlers are still out there...??? I haven't seen many of the regulars anymore & this thread seems to be dying. That's sad, because I really enjoy it.
Are you guys still out there???

Here's a riddle...
What black and green with obsession all over?

Anyone, anyone??
Wow, I am sounding crazy now.

Raefindel 06-07-2002 11:43 PM

OK, I know I haven't been on this thread for more than a month, but my son thought up a good riddle and wanted me to post it, so I decided to take the turn I never took when I "won".

What's loud, but doesn't make a sound?
What's bright but emits no light?
What's soft, but has no texture?

Tigerlily Gamgee 06-07-2002 11:46 PM

Is the answer "colors"?

Gimli Son Of Gloin 06-07-2002 11:47 PM

A spirit? A checkered golf shirt?

Raefindel 06-07-2002 11:56 PM

Yes, Tigerlilly, It is color! Wow! that was fast! My son is dissapointed, he was hoping to keep you all stumped for days.

Tigerlily Gamgee 06-08-2002 12:07 AM

Tell him I'm sorry. I think that one just clicked with me right away because of all of the art classes I have taken.

Susan Delgado 06-09-2002 11:53 AM

I'm still around....I'm running out of riddles though

His costume is slendid, all golden and red,
And he wears a red flower on top of his head.
You can see he's the boss here,
For one and all come when they hear his call.

I don't know about yours, Tigerlily....a woman with no fasion sense??

Bragolandune 06-09-2002 03:17 PM

ooh first time im posting a riddle..well here goes:

Pronounced as one letter,
And written with three,
Two letters there are,
And two only in me.
I'm double, I'm single,
I'm black, blue and grey,
I'm read from both ends,
And the same either way.
