Cool, can't wait to read it. Hurry up. Oh wait, not supposed to rush you right? Take it easy. Have a cup of tea.

BTW, was my post up to what you wanted?

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-02-2003 02:47 PM

LoL, I'm working on it, Helka! And except for a few grammatical errors, your post was fine.

Hey Everybody!

I just wanted to say that I had a great time of RPGing with you all, and that I hope to RPG with every single one of you!

Helkahothion 05-04-2003 06:19 AM

Thanks DayVampire,

Same to you and I really mean that.

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-05-2003 08:58 PM

Hey everyone!

Lets get this RPG wrapped up. Someone (Mattius please, since Ari is unconsious and Helka just posted before me) please get us out of the chamber and out of the mountain. I don't care how really, as long as it is within reason. If you can, try and wake Ari up so Anuion won't have to carry him all the way home. I'm sure he'll be pleased to know we found the book. And I'm sure everyone is wondering what's up with your mist-spirit thingy, Mattius

Okay? Now...off to that pile of homework dating back to last month...

Aylwen

Mattius 05-06-2003 01:25 AM

Okay then, I'm at school now but I will post when I get back home today.

EDIT: Wait what do you mean by

It held up a circular object in it's hand, and looked to Jack before dissipating into thin air
The braclet? I just want to confirm as to not mess up the post, I still should be able to post today if you reply before I get back from my employment!

*Nods* You got it, Mattius. El...erm...well I'm close enough to failing Spanish this semester and I have no idea what the word for 'bracelet' is...but yes, I meant the bracelet.

Good stuff, I'll post soon, maybe before work maybe afterwards.

Matt

PS We have a building company working at our school and they are called RIVENDELL! THere is a big RIVENDELL sign outside our school!

Okay people! Last round of posts, then you're done!

I don't care which order you all post, as long as it wraps up your character to an extent. Like...where they are going next/what they are doing next, or how the finding of the Wanaparma has affected them...or how they will use the Wanaparma.

Then I'll post the last post!

Then we'll be done!

Helkahothion 05-11-2003 04:19 AM

Just asking Aylwen. Who is taking the book with him? Quite important I must say. and another thing; you know what this RPG screams for? SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!!! I think it would be great if that happened. Gimmie a head's up about the book so I can post on it later. Thanks.

Anuion

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-11-2003 08:47 AM

Well, Mattius' character, as they were leaving the mountain, said the book could help impress and convince the father of a certain Elven Maiden that Jack should be able to see her. Since Anuion is an Elf, perhaps they could travel together to wherever the Elf lives? After all, Ari only needed a cure, Jadae only needed adventure, and I have no idea what is with Angalos, we didn't get much out of him in this game.

Hope that helps.

Aylwen

Oh, and I was thinking sequel too, maybe. Once Rohan busies up again and we can have everyone back, and maybe a few more players (dedicated ones). But we'll see, and I'll put something to that extent in my last post of the game.

Helkahothion 05-11-2003 10:09 AM

Sure I will send Anuion along with jack. He had no company at that time. So it is always good to travel along with him.

Mattius 05-11-2003 02:32 PM

Okay Helka, can you post about Jack and Anuion going towards Mirkwood and I'll post what happens there?

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-11-2003 02:45 PM

Don't forget saying goodbye to old friends! But after that, Mattius and Helka are done for SFTB. Then Orual can post her last post and I'll finish the game.

Adios!

Aylwen

Feliz Dia de la Madre! Though I don't think anyone in this game is a mother...

Anuion/Helkahothion, you need to contact me because your account was shut down due to posting a vulgar picture. The Anuion account is also closed now. Don''t open another.
Thats a quote from the B-W. Shall I wait for a few days to see if Helka posts or shall I just go ahead and post for Anuion and Jack?

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-13-2003 02:09 PM

Go ahead and post, Mattius.

Aylwen

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-13-2003 05:59 PM

Thanks Matt.

One last question. Orual, do you want to put in one more post, or shall I post the final Search for the Book post?

Aylwen

EDIT: Orual, if you do want to post, You don't have to post as if it is a year in the future, as Mattius has if you don't want to.

Orual 05-13-2003 08:55 PM

Actually, I liked the idea of a year in the future, so I did a post set then. Arethin, Elethil, and their mom have come a long way, baby!

Aylwen, thank you for making this game so much fun. I had a wonderful time, and I hope to see all of you at the Inns or in other games in the future!

~*~Orual/Arethin~*~

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-14-2003 05:50 AM

Thank you Orual! Thank you everyone!

Right then! I'll write the last post and post it this afternoon after school. Edit: Erm, actually...maybe after Tae Kwon Do.

Then when Bb gets back this sunday I'll see about getting this closed down.

Anuion! In your absence, I had planned on that last post of mine to be the final in Search for the Book! Since half of your post at least happened after mine, I think I'll copy and paste yours into my post, and I hope you'll please delete yours.

Next time please the discussion thread before posting to see what our/my plans are.

Thank you,

Aylwen

Helkahothion 05-15-2003 07:06 AM

Terrebly sorry. Can I delete it now, or do you still need to copy?

Aylwen Dreamsong 05-15-2003 02:13 PM

You can delete it, I already copied it and added it to my last post.

Helkahothion 05-15-2003 02:19 PM

Okay then. I just had this feeling that my feelings where being completely ignored. Ehr something. But anyway, thank you very much. Everybody! you have made my first Rohan RPG a blast.

Eh? I just wasn't sure if you'd be back to finish the game up, if that's what you mean.

Aylwen

And did you purposely spell Winona (Whinonah?) incorrectly?

Helkahothion 05-15-2003 02:32 PM

Ofcourse I did!!!!

Nah, but thanks anyway.

Mattius 05-15-2003 02:49 PM

Sweet endings people!

Helkahothion 05-15-2003 02:51 PM

*bows to Mattius*

It was a plesure writing with you ehm, ehm, guy with the dancing chicken. (having bad party memories? ) That jack guy is a quite a character

Mattius 05-15-2003 02:55 PM

Hee hee, that chiken has had some crazy adventures!

Jack was a cool character to play with, and should a sequel arise he will have benefited from the teachings of the elves too.

If anyone wants to edit any posts, do it now. I think Bethberry will be back full time this Sunday.

I'm kind of waiting for a few more of my games to wrap up, and then if anybody else wants to, I'll see about a sequel if we are allowed.

Aylwen

Helkahothion 05-15-2003 03:08 PM

Okay then, kewl with me!

Bęthberry 05-22-2003 08:41 AM

Fellow Rohan gamers,

Our gaming comes with a cost; it is time to reflect on this fact and make some changes to how we run our games.

We RPGers are the most voracious consumers of Barrow Downs resources. We use a game thread, a discussion thread, PMs to plan games, and are constant visitors to the site, often returning more than two or three times a day to keep up with developments in the game in order to prepare our own posts.

Why is this a drain on BD resources? Please take some time to read carefully and reflect seriously upon the Barrow Wight's recent posts in the "Announcements >> The Barrow Downs" forum concerning storage space and bandwidth, chat and discussion, and the costs of running the site, and then change your posting habits.

What are the most beneficial changes in our posting habits? For one, we need to stop using the discussion threads for idle banter, for personal comment. We must restrict our posts to discussion of the games only, that is, to issues of plotting, character interaction, clarification, and notification of absences. For most occasions, we don't need to make multiple posts about why we are absent or how we are doing and we don't need to make a string of 'see ya' posts in reply. For personal comments, we can use the chat room or PMs. A discussion thread that is far longer than a game thread is often a signal of a misuse of the discussion thread.

Please take the time to do several things: Delete posts or run of the mill comments in the discussion thread that have no bearing on the game. Refrain from such posts and comments in future discussions of the games. Limit your daily visits to the thread.

If we all help out, we can ensure that our games remain treasures in the Barrow Downs.

Thanks for being responsible gamers and credible members of the Downs!

Bęthberry
