I'm confused...you answered to one question: Then you said it takes place in the Shire. The entire fellowship was never in the Shire together - some of them not at all. Do you mean just the hobbits? If so, are you talking about the Scouring of the Shire?

This event has been happening since the beginning of the Shire(I think), and is not, or will not be, affected by anything else that happens(unless the Shire ceases to exist)
