Oh dear. I'm envisioning Rune in a dress now, with his hair all gussied up and everything. Not good for my psyche....but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

And again, further proof that you all are insane. :p

Gwathagor 04-05-2008 06:28 PM

Awesome! COOL boots..and cloaks...and swords!

Groin Redbeard 04-05-2008 06:40 PM

I'm speechless! You did an amazingly great job on those costumes! I couldn't help but laugh at Nogrod's yellow boots. :D

Nerwen 04-05-2008 10:01 PM

*is stunned*

Where did you get those costumes?

And have any of you ever taken the Original Geek Test? I think it's about time.:D

Gwathagor 04-05-2008 11:06 PM

Wow...I'm not even a Total Geek.:)

Gwathagor 04-05-2008 11:08 PM

Wait, who took the pictures?

Interesting. . .I was just considering if I should ask that very question.

Anyways even though Galadriel would not wear her most amazing gown, I would still not want to pose in something only semi-elvish.

A Little Green 04-06-2008 04:32 AM

Thanks everyone, you are so sweet. :D

The group photos were taken by a friend of ours who also lent us the swords and portrayed the Balrog, the rest by me or by Lommy.

Here and there... Most of them we found by looking through our own and our families' wardrobes, some of them we bought from a second-hand shop, and some of them Agan made. She made my lovely fur-lined cloak and painted Nogrod's boots, for example.

As for the cool boots, mine are Agan's mother's old riding boots and Lommy and Agan are wearing their own ones. Nog's are his rubber boots just painted yellow. :p

I scored about 20 %. Not even a total geek. :p

...when she was in lower secondary school. ;) Well, I sewed the fur lining now, but it didn't take much time, and as I have nothing against sewing and painting, it wasn't that bad.

Nogrod 04-06-2008 01:17 PM

I only got 13,14%

And by the way: if reading or studying something by your own free time & will makes one a geek then I'm pretty happy to be one. :)

Lalaith 04-06-2008 02:01 PM

I got 11% and I think that was mainly due to all the boxes I had to tick for being a girl.

I agree with Nogrod, intellectual curiosity is something everyone should be proud of, and if that is geeky, well, pshaw.
And what's with the "vintage OR ugly clothing" question?
One wears vintage because it is beautiful.

On the subject of which, awesome pictures, my Finnish chums.

Thinlómien 04-06-2008 02:07 PM

You all make me laugh so much. :D I love your comments...

And as for the test, I got something like 21% which means I'm simply "Geek"... and as I highly doubt Greenie will beat my score, I'm the geekiest of us four, and not very geeky... so there must be another reason for our silly actions...

Legate of Amon Lanc 04-06-2008 02:32 PM

Weak, I scored 24.45759% - Geek, just to let you know.

Well, it's actually almost one-quarter. Why not, actually.

McCaber 04-06-2008 02:49 PM

Heh, 72.2%. Which makes me a Geek God.

And I consider myself relatively normal compared to the geek culture I know.

Groin Redbeard 04-06-2008 02:54 PM

Wow, I guess I'm pretty low then, only a 19%. I never did like computer software that much.:p

Indeed. McCaber, that's... freaky. :D How on earth is that even possible? :p

Rune Son of Bjarne 04-06-2008 03:15 PM

better watch out for them squirrels

Woooooow.....that's, erm, impressive? *backs away slowly* *make that quickly*

I only got like 23.5%. I'm pretty pleased with that actually. And I'm not even a computer geek; imagine if I knew what all those letters and terms and stuff meant. Wow.

*thinks of something to say that's actually on-topic*

Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you, Noggie. Emily wanted me to tell you how much she enjoyed your posting throughout the game (obviously I did too, but we already knew that). I think it's safe to say that many a squee of hers was due to your Bombadil antics. Just because I didn't mention it before. *giggles once more at the boots*

EDIT: Took the test again because I was severely bored....I think I must have skipped a section. This time I got like 42.83%.

Nerwen 04-06-2008 08:57 PM

Hey, don't take this too seriously– the only way you could NOT score as at least "geek" is if you'd never read a book! I just thought it was funny, because as you see, dressing up as fantasy characters etc. is a major component.

Besides, most of us geeks are proud of being that way.;)

I got "major geek", mainly because I DO know what "all those terms and letters and stuff" mean. (Also I own movie scripts and such).

But... I didn't think it was POSSIBLE to score as high as McCaber did!

McCaber 04-06-2008 09:38 PM

See, the dressing up is about the only thing I didn't get. That and the hardcore programming stuff.

But I didn't realize that wearing vintage clothes and hi-tops made me a geek.

Nerwen 04-07-2008 03:09 AM

You got that score without being a computer nerd and/or dressing up?

Yes let's watch out for them!

I'm too lazy to find the URL to post it here but imagine, if you will, a nasty looking Chat Skwerl

Thinlómien 04-07-2008 11:30 AM

Nerwen - in case I was the one you were talking to when you said it shouldn't be taken very seriously, then I've probably once again misrepresented myself. I think the test was rather funny and I got exactly the kind of result I expected 8and wanted ;)) to get.

This might be one of the most off-topic and most active post-game discussions I've ever seen... but maybe it's just good that a game inspires the players.

THE Ka 04-08-2008 04:14 PM

Those photos are amazing, I seriously almost wet myself... (No, I'm really that frank). Ahem, anyways, probably my favourite is the mavrick Eomer taking out jockey Theodred. That and Nogrod's boots. Simply amazing.

I wish my family would do that, but my dad only likes Ents, and I doubt he'd cooperate with moss being glued to his face or something.
I can only think of one of my off-Downs friends doing a photo montage with me, but she'll make me look horrible in restrospect since she's probably the most Galadriel type I've ever known (you know, wavey perfect and nautrally golden hair, perfect construction, looks good in white, etc...).

Though, since I've been bugged to dress as ol'Rada I'm planning it out right now, though I think its going to be en femme since I can't find anything to make a beard with, plus I don't feel like wearing one. As for who else, I'll be sure to have all of my furry friends in the photo too! :)

Sorry for that Théodred. I'm sure you'll make a better one. (Oh yes, that is a challenge! ) And feel free to make as silly a Éomer as you can possibly think of for background if you feel like it.

May be a couple weeks, but I've got a little something planned, don't you worry....

satansaloser2005 04-30-2008 10:38 AM

Bumping the thread so I don't have to look for it later....

Vengeance is at hand, my friends, vengeance is at hand. :P

Groin Redbeard 04-30-2008 11:49 AM

I just thought I'd let you guys know that a I told a friend of mine about this WW game that I was playing and he thought that the story line was good enough for our drama team to do play on it this year! We're currently going over the script and who should get what parts (I got Dain and Ugluk).

Thanks everyone! Your wonderful writing skills have made this, possibly, the best WW game ever!:D

Oh no... :D That's awesome! You must make a video of it and put it to youtube... we must see it, you know. :D

Gwathagor 04-30-2008 03:56 PM

You'd better get someone who can do justice to Halbarad.:p

Pfft, putting more of the 'I' into team are we? ;)

I don't mind what you do with Radagast, just don't make him serious and drone on. I would die. If anything, make it comical and innocent as a babe. (Because he seriously was innocent, and yet another victim of anti-wizard profiling... :o).

Legate of Amon Lanc 05-01-2008 12:59 AM

Oh, Groin! That's something! :D Yes, if there's any way you can then share the video with us, it will be awesome! And in any case, I find it great that this game gave you the inspiration to make your own play - so enjoy it! :)

satansaloser2005 05-06-2008 07:23 PM
