Alas! School and this annoying thing called real life has once again gotten in the way and prevented me from spending quality time here. My appologies....I hope things have been coming along nicely, without me. :(

It's been quite a while since I have heard about this project. Are there still people involved and arranging the Marathon? At least when I quickly took a look at The Golden Ring Marathon Forum there seemed to be quite active discussions going on. Anyway, it would be really nice to hear something about GRM here at the 'Downs too!

Gotta resurrect this thread, guys.

Been a crazy year for me thus far, so I'm sorry I haven't really been around.

But it's comin' up fast now, and we should just do it. Even if we all do it on our own.
I think, because of school for some people, it's all right to wait until the weekend if you must. But Arwen is homeschooled, and therefore lucky.

Anyone with ideas for activities, or more ideas for food, etc is totally welcome to post or just show support here.

And, if anyone knows how (because I don't :() , maybe we can set up a channel in the chatroom for that day -and possibly through the following weekend, at least- so people can just go in and out and talk about what they did, etc. That would be cool.

So start postin' - There're only five days from here! :D

I didn't actually know about this but of my own volition last night I did indeed watch all three EE's! Yes I was up until the wee hours (actually I haven't slept yet) but my it was fun! Glad to have been a part of it even if it was accidental. :rolleyes:

Interestingly, the Downs Movie forum began a Sequence-by-Sequence discussion of the movies just this very week! What an appropriate way to celebrate the anniversary - please come on over and join in! The discussion of the Prologue is underway.
