A), of course, as everyone knows.

As everyone except me knows, obviously. I would not have remembered it but I accidentally found it when leafing through the Sil. ;) Anyway, your turn. :D

Well, I remember it from the map. Otherwise I am not aware that it is mentioned in the books (though it probably is, but nothing significant).

All right... something new...

Udalraph was:

A) an Elf of Gondolin
B) a ship from Númenor
C) a Northerner from Rhovanion
D) none of the above

Thinlómien 03-06-2008 03:19 AM

D?

Legate of Amon Lanc 03-06-2008 03:15 PM

Well yes, D. Do you know, perchance, what was it? (Not necessary to answer in order to take the thread, just curious :) - also to determine whether it was pure guess or based on some more concrete basis ;) )

You really are good at finding hidden terms.

His name was long remembered in the song of Rochon Methestel (Rider of the Last Hope) as Borondir Udalraph (Borondir the Stirrupless), for he rode back with the éoherë at the right hand of Eorl, and was the first to cross the Limlight and cleave a path to the aid of Cirion.
Good thing I know the UT in and out. :D

Anyway, since it's been 22 days, me is asking serious question:

The Stock-brook was:
A. A tributary of the Thistle
B. A tributary of the Shirebourne
C. A tributary of the Brandywine
D. A tributary of the Withywindle

Annunfuiniel 04-05-2008 08:09 AM

Let's see... it should be C. :)

Nerwen 06-21-2008 09:04 AM

I don't know where The Might's got to, but the answer is, in fact, C. I checked.

Thread's yours, Annunfuiniel
