Don't get me wrong though. I think Melian is great. But she's a bit too good compared to Maedhros. Maedhros has an edge to him - a fault that makes him much more interesting as a character...

I generally like the flawed characters too - and, for the record, didn't hurt Turin because of his tragic flaws, if you will, but because I just find him... creepy, somehow. (And this from a Grima fan...)
