Someone must want our attention!

For the second week in a row, Michael Martinez has centered his column around a prominent feature of the Barrow-Downs.

It would be nice if he at least would do the kindness of linking folk to the things he critiques!

Personally, I think the guy has some interesting observations in his articles, but he must be hard up for materials! These are works in progress, after all.

But if you, yourself, ever come under the eye of a critic one day, be sure to read carefully, because you may learn something that will be helpful in making your work better.

In Fairness to MM re: the Silm I had asked him about doing another peice awhile back . At the time of the first Silm canon article , he thought we were sold on an MT version and we hadn't even started a text.

And after all it is the only thing of it's kind going on.

But also in fairness, the tone of each article &quot;set me off&quot; after the second one.

Obviously, had the tone been different, the critical points might have been better received. At least by me. I would no doubt have posted great praise with the links.

But I did post the links. I really think that is a bit of internetiquette that we should all practice in the online Tolkien community. Everyone is helped thereby.

Since I have taken a new gander over there I see that the Administrator has taken a hand and that should be that.

Also having taken a look at the Copywrite thread there, MM has made a complimentary post about the beginning of THE HOBBITS.
