Odd man out for everyonee

Hey,
IŽve started a new thread for OMU, because the other one was kinda hard... so, everyone is welcome, but please try to make your questions not too hard... weŽll see how it goes.
Ok here we go:

Elrond
Galadriel
Denethor
Gimli

mordor136 11-04-2002 11:26 AM

denethor was the only one to die during lotr

charly 11-04-2002 11:39 AM

Would be correct, but no

ElentariGreenleaf 11-04-2002 01:40 PM

Erm, Denethor because he's not imortal?

charly 11-04-2002 01:51 PM

Hey, GimliŽs not immortal!

ElentariGreenleaf 11-04-2002 02:53 PM

oh, I though Dwaves were...

Pookabunny 11-04-2002 06:24 PM

Denethor is the only one who didn't meet Galadriel - She's Elrond's mother in law (or mother in elf-law) and Gimli met her in Lorien (and he's in love with her).

close?

Telchar 11-05-2002 02:36 AM

Denethor never sailed into the West - maybe

lathspell 11-05-2002 09:37 AM

Gimli is the only one who is no lord or leader during LotR.
Denethor - Minas Tirith
Galadriel - Lothlorien
Elrond - Rivendell
Gimli - ???

Diamond18 11-05-2002 10:57 AM

Either that or Galadriel because she's the only female?

charly 11-05-2002 02:04 PM

Oooh these are all correct, but not what I had in mind...
think books.

ElentariGreenleaf 11-05-2002 03:30 PM

Denethor wasn't in the LotR trilogy?

Elven Mistress 11-05-2002 05:43 PM

I know! Gimli's the shortest!!! the other three are either tall humans or tall elves!!

Gimli is the only one whose real name we don't know?

Alkanoonion 11-05-2002 09:44 PM

Elrond
Galadriel
Denethor
Gimli

Denethor is the odd man out as all the rest appear in the first book.

Telchar 11-06-2002 03:29 PM

Elrond - being the only one that is both in 'The Hobbit' and 'LOTR' ?

charly 11-07-2002 09:36 AM

Ok, Telchar, you have it!! Was this too hard?
Never mind

Telchar 11-08-2002 06:20 PM

nope

Try this one:
Sam
Aragorn
Faramir
Frodo
Bombadil

Azaelia of Willowbottom 11-08-2002 07:16 PM

Bombadil, as he is the only immortal. He is also the only one to appear in only one book of The Lord of the Rings (He's mentioned in THe Hobbit)

Elven Mistress 11-08-2002 08:16 PM

Frodo cause he's the only guy without a doll (or gal if you prefer)....

Diamond18 11-08-2002 09:19 PM

I'm going to say Sam, because all the others have multiple syllables in their names, and Sam has one...(in the shortened form, that is).

Too inane?

Telchar 11-10-2002 07:47 AM

Elven Mistress is correct - Frodo never married

Lindolirian 11-13-2002 07:32 PM

Azaelia of Willowbottom: Where is Bombadil mentioned in the Hobbit?
