I dropped the popup on the main window of the site

I finally got rid of that annoying popup window at the main window of The Barrow-Downs. I kept it up so long simply because 25 Hobbits drives 400-600 new people to the site each week. I still hope to keep a high listing there, so The Barrow-Downs will still rely on the gracious votes of its visitors - especially it regulars. So, if you are so inclined, and every time you get the notion (the oftener the better, but only once a day counts) please vote for the site.

Woohoo! That pop-up actually discouraged me from visiting since I hate pop-ups <img src=tongue.gif ALT=":b">

Checking 25 Hobbits, you're still #1 though...

It was getting a bit irritating; it said that it would close in twenty seconds but it never did! But fear not, Ron, I still vote for the site almost every day.

A definite improvement, but newcomers to the site probably won't vote for it without the popup window.

Thanks a bunch, Gwaihir..and yeah, vote count has dropped already a little. But no big deal. BD gets mosts visitors from word of mouth I think.

You know when I finally realized the virtues of voting daily , I tried and I crash at 25 hobbits regularly, sao I gave up- sorry .
But I think the lack of a pop up will maybe not send more fearful mortals running from the downs so quickly .

Yeah I hate popups but I still voted and will continue to. Still I am pleased it is gone!
