That is how mine relates, sorry, I thought that since I already said how the northmen were related,*O.K. Arwen, breath* I didn't think it was necessary to remind you. Vidugavia is also known as the self-styled King of Rhovanion.

As for X Phial, I don't think there is a better one for Rohan that starts with U. Some of the Uruk-hai were breeded in Rohan (well, Isengard) and also atacked Rohan.

Beren87 06-20-2003 03:22 PM

Walda-twelfth King of Rohan.

The Saucepan Man 06-20-2003 05:56 PM

X - Xenophobia, a deep dislike of foreigners, which the Rohirrim displayed towards the Dunlendings ...

... well, best I could come up with for X.

Beren87 06-20-2003 06:58 PM

Y- a letter the Rohirrim apparently never used as the first letter of the name of anything important.

The Saucepan Man 06-20-2003 07:19 PM

How about Y - Yearling, a horse in its first year after the year of foaling. I'm sure that there were a fair few of those in Rohan.

And Z - Zigzag, the course taken by the winding road to Dunharrow.

Always good to have a dictionary handy for X, Y and Z.

Arkenstone-A great Jewel found by Thrain I. Bilbo found it in Smaug's treasure pile, he gave it to the Elves as an attempt to bribe Thorin.

Arwen Imladris 06-20-2003 10:16 PM

Carc: One of the ravens who lived on Ravenhill, one of the foothills of Erebor, the Lonely Mountain. Carc seems to have been the chief of those birds, and dwelt with his wife above the Dwarves' guard-chamber on the hill. Thorin recalled him as being wise and famous at the time the Dwarves were driven out of Erebor by Smaug. When Thorin returned to the Lonely Mountain 171 years later, Carc was dead, but the ravens remained, led by his son Roäc.

The X Phial 06-20-2003 10:22 PM

Dain, King under the Mountain after the demise of Thorin Oakenshield.
